I always wondered where music videos got their start, especially when you see those ones that clearly pre-date MTV. What are your favorite nostalgic music videos?
This isn’t particularly nostalgic, being made in 2007, and while I love it, it’s probably not my favorite. It was, however, specifically made to look like a Scopitone reel:

maybe a little divertive, but i find it to be interesting how an artist can bring their own personality to a song and i think these following different versions of the same song are quite illustrative of this:

For whatever reason, the night this came out I was home alone, and it seemed like a for real horror film to me.

@narfcake to be fair, his production values skyrocketed since then (I especially liked that they would parody the original videos too)
I liked word crimes, even if it didn’t look anything like blurred lines.
