Wait, this is actually cool. I carry a water bottle everywhere I go anyway. I not this is a terrible peak representation of late stage capitalism. But I actually kind of dig it.
@otherstalin@yakkoTDI Now that I’m learning about the different measurements of a ton, I was meaning a “short ton,” or 2000lb as we yankees like to use
I got this last time. Its a solid water bottle (keeps stuff cold . Doesn’t leak). BUT the battery is kind of a pain. You need to plug it in to itself, to turn it on. It only turns on when it starts charging once that happens then you can charge your device.
Also it goes with out saying, but it 24 oz of water isnt a lot of water.
@deenK not sure what you mean, I have one and there’s a power button on it (it’s touch sensitive not a physical button) that I can use to turn the battery on or off. It’s very hard to see but it’s right above the tylt logo and it also turns on the battery level indicator lights.
Whoever told me to clean the smell out of a bottle by using Baking Soda, I want you to know that you were a game changer. Now I’m back in the bottle drinking game. And just in time too, I think those sports collector bottles are going on sale.
@pixelated Maybe they don’t want to lose the cable that is stored in the hollow space… Once you remove the battery you can still stand up the bottle.
You also don’t have to remove the battery to use it as a wireless charger, but it is a tower that is ready to be knocked over when you stand the entire bottle upside down.
@Euniceandrich@pixelated@rpstrong Just for an aesthetically pleasing photo. You can just set the bottle upright – your call whether to leave the cable inside or remove, but it should stay inside if wound up nicely
I got two of these before. I actually use the battery from one of these as the wireless charging for a phone I only use when I listen to music to when I sleep. I leave the battery plugged in all the time, it works great. One of the bottles leaked, but i do use the one that works regularly.
bought these last time mid-december as a last minute impulse for the ‘kids’ who are in college. both use the chargers, they already have multiple water bottles.

How many bottles of alkaline water do I get on each charge?
needs bluetooth
Gosh guys, how many of these things did you buy?
@otherstalin a bit over 25 tons
@otherstalin @troy Imperial or metric?

@deenK However, 24 oz of java is awesome! It seems like a good idea for hunting, fishing or morning hikes.
FOOLS! TOOLS! JEWELS! AWESOME!
@deenK well, the charging fail is kind of a deal-breaker. Thanks for talking me out of it
@deenK Could you explain this in more detail? You don’t just plug a cord into the battery then to the phone?

This isn’t as cursed a product as the chicken nugget cup holder container, but it is close.
12 hrs hot or cold is nowhere close to the 17-26 hrs in the previous page’s description. Whuddup widdat??
@joeywolf Varying specs on Amazon (17-26 hrs) and the manufacturer’s site (12 hrs). I updated to 12 hours. Thanks for catching!
@joeywolf @troy Now all you have to do is update the “story”.

@AaronLeeJohnson Denture cleaner does a nice job too

@Euniceandrich @pixelated Maybe set the bottle (upright) on the phone?

@Fuzzalini I wish you’d bought four, so we’d have a better idea if 50% leak… or maybe 25% or 75%! Anyway, thnx for the input.
Ok.

WTF? Maybe the most useless item I’ve ever seen.
