It’s been a few weeks since Mom died. Since then, I’ve hit a few rough patches, but I’m better. Really I am. Things have been made easier by your kind words and I thank you.

Also, there are a few here who have at various intervals sent me a few “cheer up” gifts. You know who you are – I don’t even know the names of some of you who sent them. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your caring, I really do. Thank you.

I’m going to be OK.

  It turns out that I have been remiss and haven’t given enough personal data to google. They need more.
  
  So I installed Gboard and am pretending to swipe away like an actual competent person, which includes some entertaining moments.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I haven’t been looking at the forum very often lately, so I didn’t know until now. I lost my Mom about 14 years ago, and I still catch myself thinking I want to call her to tell her about something. Now I laugh at myself, but for a while there, it was a guaranteed crying jag. I hope your heart heals quickly.

- Thank you, @Pony. I catch myself planning my daily visit to see her. I know why I no longer go to the nursing home, but her dog Lady can’t figure out why we are no longer going there. However, I do take Lady out there a couple of times of month to visit the other residents.
