There's someone else here...
11...and I don't know how I feel about it.
For a long time now, I was the only buyer in my smallish county, in the middle of the little panhandle, in my not-so-big state. There was one buyer in the next county over, but I haven't seen her on the forums in a while. Recently, I've noticed that someone else in my county is buying things. On one hand, I'm thrilled that Meh is expanding. On the other, I'm seething with curiosity, and maybe a tiny bit of annoyance that someone else found out about 'my' thing. I'm surprised that anyone else around here 'gets' Meh. I'm wondering if it's someone from my husband's work. He apparently talks about the great deals I find on here sometimes.
I know a lot of our community members live in metro areas where one would expect there to be multiple Meh members. But, is there anyone else from a less populated area who has found they live near another Meh user? Did you find each other out in the wild or through a random series of coincidences on the forum? Have there been any Meh meetups yet?

I know what you mehan. I am the only one from Baltimore on meh. Whehn I wehar my meh t-shirt, the word sprehads like wildfire. I will be sad when there are eventually more Baltimehers, but thehn I will be happy whehn we can have mehetups at local bars and ehxchange our unwanted mehrchandise.
@miko1 Sorry but you are not the only one from Baltimore, I can name at least four others.
@tinkertime It has just been too cold to wear the shirt, hon.
@lanboyo You know it! 😊 Go O's!!!!!
Just move to North Dakota. Then you'll be the only one in the entire state that buys anything!
I used to be the only one in my county. When other buyers showed up they were people I work with who found about meh through me. We had some layoffs so some of those people are off in new jobs telling others about meh.
@SSteve Mehbola
Someone else showed up in my county about a week ago. Apart from family members, I thought we were the only buyers in Bay County.
@Teripie Bay, MI?
@flouise Florida
@Teripie I'm MI (not Bay but used to be close). Looks like you're safe!
@thumperchick is in my tiny hometown, probably being the only meher. besides @humper.
@meh AFAIK, @humper and I are the only ones.
Is it embarrassing for me to admit that whenever I wear a Meh/Mediocre shirt out in public in the back of mind I always expect someone to say something about it?
…They never have.
@JonT I always hope someone will recognize it for what it is instead of just telling me it matches my attitude. :-/
@JonT I've gotten several compliments about it when I wear mine. Mehbe it's just the general attitude around here.
@JonT
Sorry @JonT I should have directed my angst toward @carl669 for my lack of a meh.com T-Shirt. I just got caught up in the moment. I blame him for that as well.
@JonT No one has ever asked me about mine either. I wear one of my shirts to the gym at least once a week. I've already told friends and family, now I'm on to subliminal advertising.
@JonT i get comments on mine all the time. what a knee slap it is when, instead of telling them it's a website for good deals, i just tell them meh are my initials isn't that so funny, it just expresses me on so many levels. just kidding sometimes i'm tired and tell them it's a website.
@JonT When I wear my Kickstarter shirt out and go into a business, inevitably, someone who works there will point to my shirt and comment about how it describes the way they feel that day. I then apologize for making them do actual work at their job.
Okay, I'm not really so much of a bitch that I say it. I think it sometimes, depending on the business, but I've only said it once. Usually I just do that awkward laugh that you do when you've heard a joke too many times. Also, depending on the place, I'll mention that it's actually from my favorite website.
@JonT I wear my meh shirts in public way more than any other t-shirt I own. I've gotten several compliments and comments and laughs, but never from a fellow mehican. There was even that evening the wife and I were eating at Chilada's (and I was in my classic black original, but not Kickstarter-grey-and-green original ) and I saw the @snapster himself, with one of his minions. Sigh, but he ignored me. Still I keep practicing the Breakfast Octopus handshake (really, it's more of a handwiggle).
BTW, I tell everyone about meh, the eccomerce and the community and the general awesomeness. Y'all should have me on payroll.
Unfortunately for me they lump my county in with the next county over we are one of those "2 separate cities, 1 metropolitan area" so it's really hard to tell if they are in my county or the bigger one with the bigger city
I am the only Mehvangelist from Arlington, TX. It does get lonely.
@jqubed is the only one I know of in the Raleigh/Durham area. I keep wearing my Meh shirt hoping they'll recognize me but they never do. We must frequent different bars.
@RedHot I'm currently visiting the Raleigh/Durham area. Brother and mom live here. Will have to see if he can be brought into the fold. I recall chatting with someone on Woot from this area, wish I could recall who.
@RedHot You'd think I'd frequent more bars working in TV, but I don't really. A girl (well, probably in her early-mid 20s) working the snack counter at the IMAX told me she bought the same shirt for her brother, but once I asked her about the website we realized she'd bought a different Meh shirt someplace else. I told her about the site and she sounded like she might check it out, but I haven't seen any indication she joined us.
@RedHot I wore my VMP shirt to the food truck rodeo but got no recognition. No breakfast octopus gesture.
@jqubed I was in Nashville, TN all last week so I didn't get to go to that or Brewgaloo. We usually try to hit the ones downtown. I'll try to let you know the next event I'll be at so we can at least look for each other :-)
I'm in Orange County, NY. Someone on the boards here is in a neighboring county. I can't remember who it is.
@bluedog
I'm not that far from there. (Though you probably weren't thinking of me.)
Apparently there are a few of us in the South Puget Sound area - a couple of us have been sharing notes on the Fuko shipping thread.
It is very rare to see my county change to a darker shade on the sales map, however. I would welcome fellow mehtizens.

@PurplePawprints
I understand. You found paradise in Meh, you had a good time, you found a few good bargains. The police protected you and there were courts of law. You didn't need a friend like me. But, now you come and you ask for justice.
I'll be your friend; I'll take care of this problem for you.
Someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift . . .
Nobody else in my county yet - Eastern U.P. in MI. I'm the lone meh-er so far.
@jwertz5
i'm the meher of my county lol
@jwertz5 with the exceedingly light population density up there, odds are you won't have company for many moons. Beautiful country there tho.
Well, last week, I won a fukoburo that was delivered by a trucking company. They made another delivery 40 minutes from me, so I know there is 1 person somewhat near me.
We've traced the IP address. The orders are coming from INSIDE YOUR HOUSE!
I presume there must be other meh'ers in my town (Flushing, NY) and almost certainly in my county (Queens, NY). I know there are others in NY City).
But I have never, ever seen any evidence to this effect. Here in NY it can be a faux pas to speak with or make more than momentary make eye contact with someone you do not already know.
I thought others would love my mehtabulous insulated coffee cup when I went out on the town. No one said anything... Maybe they could see the meh look on my face? Oh well...... (I'd sport the t-shirt if I had one, but the coffee cup will have to do!) I'm not sure if anyone in here is from Western Colorado?
There are too many people in DFW.
Would everyone who is not a Meh customer, employee, or a family member of same, please move. Now.
Exceptions to be made for anyone involved in the making and serving of good food and drink.
