There seems to be a slight error in the voting for comments...
14This morning I was surprised to see that I hadn't voted up this comment in the Cops and Donuts thread, and I voted it up again.
https://meh.com/forum/topics/cops-and-donuts#56d3bdf1987875480a8cb876
When I just looked, it didn't show as voted (still), and I clicked on it again. I refreshed the page, and it was back to no vote from me. The thing that's really weird is that it shows three votes, but a mouseover shows only mfladd and f00l as having voted. My math skills tell me that those are only two voters, which means there's now two anomalies, not one.
Why doesn't my vote stick? Who is the invisible voter? Why does @shawn hate @connorbush?
(I may have seen this before, recently, but it's reproducible, so I'm posting about it. BTW, if there's any easier way to make a bug report, just let me know, and I'll do it that way next time.)

I just voted, and it shows 4 votes and 4 names. Yours is one.
@OldCatLady Even stranger. Now my vote shows, and the invisible voter is gone. I'd still like to know what it was.
@connorbush what the hell did you do now?

(it's all about the gif to me)
@mfladd Thank you.
I often have problems with stars sticking. Always chalked it up to my sorry old computer, or my connection.
I thought I was the problem.. so glad you are the problem @shrdlu
Somebody call Sylvester McMonkey McBean!
@brhfl - Sometimes I can't put stars upon thars.
For those having issues with the stars sticking... they are most likely sticking, but your browser has the cached version of the page without them lit up... do a full refresh (usually CRTL + F5, or CRTL + refresh icon) and they should be lit up when the page re-loads.
(Yes sometimes it reverts and looses stars when Irk gets in the server but try the refresh, you might be surprised.)
@thismyusername Well... The star not sticking was from a day ago. The second anomaly (the votes being three, and the names only being two) bothered me more, and was what made me make the original post.
Just saying...
@thismyusername - Thanks. Sometimes it takes 3-4 refreshes before the star appears.
I have noticed the missing names, as well.
@thismyusername The other day, I starred a comment by @kdemo and a reply from @brhfl, but when I hit refresh, @kdemo's star was gone and @brhfl's was not. I'd love an explanation that could make sense of that.
@christinewas - Good to know, I will cancel my dinner worm order.
@christinewas I can't give you a real guess (well I can, perhaps azure was having issues and reverted it, perhaps the 'click' never made it up the pipe etc) but I would guess it is clearly the fault of @stardate820926 :)
@thismyusername oops...
@thismyusername Yes. @stardate820926 is the only logical explanation.
I came to the conclusion that it doesn't show my name if I'm the most recent person to star a comment, but I get displayed if someone else started it more recently, or if I'm the only person to star it. I don't know if that's correct, and haven't thoroughly tested this, but that's how it seemed to me.
