($22,700 in dollars)
That’s pretty cool! The scary part is there are several professional fursuit builders who are already charging half what he paid…
@PooltoyWolf
Are they as good as that one?
@Kyeh Well, “good” is very subjective. In my view, however, a wearable carpet (as we affectionately call them) could never be worth 10 grand. Mac was just shy of $2,200 in 2013.
I could make him one for a fraction of the price. Sure, it’d look mangy, but he could wear it during shedding season to be ultra-realistic!
Oh, also - have you seen the cool ads for Great Wolf Lodge?
@Kyeh Of course
@PooltoyWolf They’re so great! I only saw one for the first time a few days ago and I haven’t seen another since. Meanwhile I see so many lame ads over and overandover…
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf I just saw that ad recently, too, & you popped into my mind… You have Kyeh & me fully indoctrinated!
@Kyeh I’ve seen most of these on cable as well!
@ircon96 @Kyeh That’s a good thing, I think!! Fenris is the original Great Wolf, anyway.
And just coincidentally (or serendipitously?) this is the Word of the Day:
@Kyeh SOCLOSE to lycanthropy… It must be kismet!
Man people have fucked up dreams. And to spend that much money he should have thought about how dirty it’s gonna get unless he plans on licking himself clean to.
@Star2236 Eh - if he’s that rich, he can get it dry cleaned, no problem. It’s an unusual way to spend big bucks, but I’d say people spend a hell of a lot of money on other seemingly useless things all the time - we’re just used to the commoner things.
At least he didn’t get plastic surgery to make himself look like a wolf.
@Star2236 A little harsh and put-downy, no?
@PooltoyWolf
Sorry I read the article wrong. I read it as his life long dream was “to be a wolf”
I didn’t mean to put you down bc I think what you do is cool. Anybody that goes out and does stuff with the community and kids always has my vote.
WHY DOES THIS MAN HAVE NO NAME?!?
Side note: 50 days is actually an amazing timeframe for something like this. Most professional fursuit builders take on average a few months to complete a commission!
@PoolToyWolf More exciting news!
