@tinamarie1974 The Meh poll writer has historically shown to be a big basketball fan, possibly to the exclusion of hockey. Once better times return, I recommend that Mercatalyst buy some company-wide tickets to at least a few Stars games; they’re right there…
I’ve been to every opening season of Arkansas Razorback baseball for the last six years (Christmas/anniversary presents) and this year I had to miss it. And now I’m not going to see any this year
I feel sorry for the seniors who have worked so hard and their final year is boned
The sporting event I miss most is the presidential race. The mudslinging (and comedy) will start again in the next few months, so I am not too worried.
In the words of Tom Stompin:
“Oh! The good old hockey game!
Its the best game you can name!
And the best game you can name,
is the good old hockey game!”
I was trying to decide if I had enough time to profit from starting a pro bubble/bumper ball league. 6 foot diameter inflatable balls that would maintain physical distancing. Hockey, soccer, kickball, some sort of creative something with a large beachball???. Corporate sponsorship and network airtime (while all the other sports are cancelled). Fame and fortune…
I miss watching my local NBA team. But they were really trashed because of injuries. Looking forward to next year. It will be really interesting to see who stays and goes in the off season.
@cinoclav I don’t mind that my wife won’t be filling up the DVR with hours (and hours) of diving, swimming and track events that she never gets around to watching (or deleting). I just recently (quietly) deleted some recordings from 2016 and 2018 to free up some space.
@macromeh Better that than what I have to stealthily delete. Hours of crime reenactment crap from the ID channel. I swear the gf knows 172 different ways to kill me without me ever seeing it coming.
I am a huge baseball fan, but I could cope if there was anything to fill the void. The fact that essentially everything is cancelled/postponed makes it that much tougher.
Also there’s a group of 50 or so guys that meets at the park accross from my front porch and play basketball every Sunday. I sit on my porch and watch them most Sundays. The city came in Saturday night and took the hoops off the backboards.
Luckily, I’ve switched to watching mostly gaming and a lot of that is still available currently which is nice. Mostly into League of Legends and Overwatch League.
But, if I missed anything it would probably be baseball. I was looking forward to maybe catching a game in the new field here for the Rangers.
Hockey. Playing and watching. The NHL playoffs are incredible entertainment and was looking forward to the Penguins trying to go on another run… Hopefully it happens at some point
NASCAR with simulators just isn’t the same.
Racquetball
I CANNOT believe HOCKEY is not an option?!?!?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@lljk sounds like a great suggestion! Maybe attending a game or two will open their eyes to an amazing sport

I miss rockshows.
Loud and rowdy crowds are no longer permitted.

DCI cancelled their season. That kinda sucks.

Hockey. Hockey? Hockey!

Baseball. The reruns aren’t thrilling me.
@OldCatLady I have the Cubs winning the World Series on my DVR still. I could watch it 100 more times and never tire of it.
Formula-1 racing,
bike racing season starting, Tour de France later this year, etc.
NASCAR and Indy
Hockey. It’s an incomplete season.
and I’m annoyed the Olympics had to be postponed.

Hockey for sure.

@ddbelyea so dumb.
None, this is awesome.
I miss watching my son playing baseball.

Dungeons and Dragons counts as a sport, right? I haven’t played in weeks…
HOCKEY.

March Madness because it’s not postponed, it’s just gone. Baseball at least has a chance of coming back.
i was really missing the european tram driver championship, but luckily the ocho played a re-run of it.
Friday night fights with my wife.
