Eighth Grade was incredible, I was shocked it wasn’t nominated. A very honest and engrossing movie that held my attention way more than several of the other movies that were nominated.
Plus, it was Bo Burnham’s Directorial debut, meaning he’s a not even 30 something guy who’s already been crushing the stand up comedy world and now showed everyone that he can direct, too.
@jdude727 Yeah. The Academy Awards are dumb, and I haven’t seen any of the movies that were nominated or are on the list, but I can say that Eighth Grade was very, very good.
And Bo Burnham almost certainly sprang fully-formed from the mind of deity who created the root of all languages. And, thus far, he seems to have managed to not be a dick about it, which is pretty impressive.
I have a two year old and an infant who won’t take a bottle. I don’t get to watch new movies that often. I have no idea what any of the listed movies are.
The one with the person doing that thing that eventually all worked out in the end.
@shahnm I saw that one! I was pretty worried about the stuff.
How about the epic saga
“Tale of the Unwatched”?
Obviously, some movie has to be best; but none of the ones I saw seemed to be. Meh

/giphy bo burnham
@jdude727 So yeah… that gif is just not making me want to run out and check out bo burnham…
@shahnm lol well I can see if you’ve not heard of him already that would be kinda weird.
He’s got several specials out there, this is a clip from of one that’s one of my favorites.
@jdude727 That actually made me lol. And it contained significantly less tongue.
@jdude727 love me some Bo!
If you have Netflix @shahnm, his comedy specials are on there.
@jdude727 @RiotDemon I have Netflix just as sure as I have batteries chilling in my refrigerator. What I don’t have is time…
@jdude727 You gotta include “Pandering” if were breaking out the Bo songs.

The votes indicate a botnet has targeted Meh.
@hchavers oddly enough… Five minutes after you post this, a spammer (bot?) came through here.
Hereditary gave me PTSD.
Didn’t see a one of them. Didn’t watch Hollywood pat each other on the back.
I think the poll results are indicative of the meh demo. To which I say, huzzah!!!
@zinimusprime P.S. I like to star my own comments, because I wouldn’t write them unless they are amazing.
@zinimusprime Amen! If you don’t give your comments the recognition they deserve, who will?
@InnocuousFarmer @zinimusprime
So that’s why your daddy tells everyone your sister is the best kisser in the county.

The Happytime Murders.
It was everything that Greg the Bunny shouldn’t have been.
@PocketBrain I just picked this up from the library. Maybe I shouldn’t watch it with my mom?
Yes I have heard of spider mans.
Cheezus Crust. How is everyone not choosing First Reformed?
Blindspotting and Eighth Grade were my favorites of the year, and American Animals was good too.
