That Monkey Jump game at Woot
7I couldn't find a thread to talk about that Monkey Jump game over there, so I figured I'd start one here. It's on the home page of Woot.com right now, but seems like you can also play it at this page:

You click and drag to make the monkey jump from pillar to pillar. I was playing while talking to @shawn about how stupidly hard it was, and in the middle of my rant, I started to get good at it. Or at least, I think I got good at it. It's hard to know since I couldn't see anyone else sharing scores. Anyway, here's my top score:
What's your high score?

@cinoclav Ah, I looked for a bit but hadn't found that. Looks like I'm near the top, but not quite there. I see someone getting 16, if that's not an image edit.
@dave I'm stuck on 5. I can only play for so long before boredom sets in.

5 here as well. you'd think if you just got the monkey close enough, it'd just grab on to the ledge and pull itself up in the interest of self preservation. but nooooo... fucking lazy death wish monkey.

@sammydog01 we're tied
I played it for a few minutes when I noticed the wootoff, and decided it must be designed by the evil genius that made flappy bird.

Tried (a few times). Failed. Crap.
I'm 5 as well. I found that a long backswing with a straight shot, if aimed right, will let the monkey stick on the pillar, regardless of how fast it approaches.
Not that it's any more accurate, but I was more consistent that way than any other.
@ACraigL I was very excited for you and your score of 31...for about: seconds..
High score of 3. Much easier on mobile touchscreen device than with a mouse.
Ten. But I realized by clicking on the mouse you could slow the flight of the monkey while in flight.
3 high score. meh.
