I mean yes she was already doing dessert person after the fall of bon appetit. But I guess this is new. If you got into the Claire makes hot pockets but better thing.
I like me some Claire, but I haven’t had the willpower to sit through 45 minutes of her new format yet. Is it worth it? PS the almond butter banana bread from her cookbook is soooo good
@DLPanther I mean I’m never going to attempt any of these. And yes it was “better” when you had the other bon appetit personalities popping in and out for the whole Claire makes gormet X. But was all a clear production, even though it worked.
Her actual desert person stuff would be a much more logical thing to try. But. Pandemic nostalgia? Also cat? Lol
@DLPanther@unksol
I’d never seen her before but I did enjoy watching, well somewhat…
My first thought was MY GOSH she sure does OVERTHINK things, but so don’t I and at least she KNOWS IT! Then, after I realized I was committing to watch till the end, (Drumsticks are something I like the idea of but NEED to be done better, it’s the ice cream ) I decided to share the video to my TV screen, sit back and enjoy! And yes, OMG THE CATS…🫣 I’m STILL wondering if she washed her hands, and let’s NOT forget about her hands and/in her hair! Cringe…
I still intensely like drumsticks (some are fresher than others; I’ve had ones with crispy cones and rich fudge)… But I have grown to despise Nestle.
I’m seeing this … Very brave attempt. Definitely a boutique thing that would be super expensive, but also a different idea then the Drumstick or Cornetto. Quality ice cream (as in a sundae) is different than the fluffy jet puffed and packed ice cream from the factory handheld.
It’s weird to say “I like the soulless artificial ones better”, but I usually look at them as “a great snack for a lazy mood” and the Claire’s version as a high end treat for when I want to be indulged (and can handle all that).

@DLPanther @Lynnerizer
So that’s a very specific style that she used
/youtube bon appetit claire gourmet makes
So if you missed the whole bon appetit wave/scandal/break up the format doesn’t make as much sense.
They spiked with very popular cooking content during the pandemic then. Blew up.
The whole gourmet make/recreates is obviously a technical challenge. That’s. Interesting to me in the same way of “how it’s made” type of thing.
She made tater tots lol.
/gourmet makes tater tots
And starburst
/gourmet makes starburst
But her actual dessert person stuff does sound doable and delicious. So if you wanted someone practical…
She was doing those from her cookbook before this
@DLPanther @Lynnerizer sigh
Sigh. Slow edditing
/youtube gourmet makes tater tots
/youtube gourmet makes starburst
/youtube dessert person cake
@DLPanther also if that format wasn’t your thing she has been posting since.

A long time favorite, I binge watch How It’s Made. WE LOVE IT!
@DLPanther @Lynnerizer semi useful from the history channel. I enjoy it and it’s not ancient aliens but I just catch it on YouTube
