We made an offer a few months ago on a similar item, but different brand. No subwoofer in the base unit, but it charges while levitating. Damn thing sounded pretty good, though. It was hard for me to get it centered to start levitating, but not for others who tried it out here at Mediocre HQ. Vendor was a little too proud of it and didn’t accept our (reasonable) offer. Yet…
@sammydog01 You never know. I’ve been part of many huge transactions that transpired months, sometimes even a year or so after we first saw the opportunity. Those are the most satisfying, personally, but take more tact (which is often mis-diagnosed internally as simply just taking too long), than just buying stuff because “it’s a deal”.
@PlacidPenguin no, production costs for a limited run Irk doll would likely may make it unfeasible. But I’d like a Singing’ Cowboy plush too, complete with toilet paper and whiskey!
@PlacidPenguin If anything, it may be @dave that ends up getting involved with any plushies. That is, if he ever caught up with Ramy and his connections/experience with getting plushies made.
@jbartus believe me, every offer is made for right now. Some amount of of back-and-forth usually, and if it doesn’t work for both parties right now, we’re always open to revisiting the opportunity later. But the offer usually drops some.
@Jdub makes sense, I figured it probably did but was curious for more insight into the world of Mediocre. If there are any fun stories you have that might be of interest to us please don’t hesitate to share! (provided they aren’t the kind that might sour a deal)
@CaptAmehrican The folding spoon is nice, but I would recommend a folding spork. Maybe Thermos will hear my wish and discontinue this model to add a spork, thusly opening the door for us to acquire a deal worthy of a meh day. And the fun @jasontoon would have with that ridonkulous part number: SK3000CRTRI4…
@LaVikinga in the speaker lightbulb thread I was talking about how I made one of these clouds and wanted to put the lightbulb in it to simulate lightning.
@LaVikinga I made two different ones using paper lantern insides. I gave one to a friend for his nursery and apparently his wife went apeshit over it and hung it up right away. (I used a flashlight for that one and fishing line so it really does look like it’s floating)
I’m going to hang the other one in my office/craft room.
When 2ferTuesday?

@Jdub I would like these to show up

I had a navy one but lost it in my car crash and would like a new one.
@Jdub They’ll be back begging you to take them.

@Jdub
Have you been part of any talks to get the Irk plushies which have been demanded?
@PlacidPenguin um… no
@Jdub
Do you know if @brogers has been part of talks?
@PlacidPenguin no, production costs for a limited run Irk doll would likely may make it unfeasible. But I’d like a Singing’ Cowboy plush too, complete with toilet paper and whiskey!
@brogers
If you really wanted toilet paper, that could be easily arranged.
@nobodyinparticular
See?
This is what it looks like to make generous offers.
@brogers
So who would I have to “persuade” in order to get limited edition Irk merchandise (excluding t-shirts) available on Meh?
@brogers
They would be plushies, not dolls.
Significant difference.
Just like how action figures are not dolls.
@PlacidPenguin Oops, didn’t mean to offend the plushy community! Totally agree.
@PlacidPenguin If anything, it may be @dave that ends up getting involved with any plushies. That is, if he ever caught up with Ramy and his connections/experience with getting plushies made.
@narfcake
Sure you didn’t mean to link to this?
Also, I think @dave is glaring since you identified him. Now I know my next target.
@brogers
I’m in a forgiving mood, so I forgive you.
@PlacidPenguin
@narfcake
In December this
Year, @f00l’s fault not @narfcake’s fault
Re lack of plushies.
@Jdub do your offers come with an expiration date attached? Anyone ever come back months later and your offer has gone down?
@jbartus believe me, every offer is made for right now. Some amount of of back-and-forth usually, and if it doesn’t work for both parties right now, we’re always open to revisiting the opportunity later. But the offer usually drops some.

@PlacidPenguin What, exactly, is the difference?
@Pantheist
Between what and what?
@Pantheist
I really hope you’re kidding with that question.

It looks like a floating air freshener.
@Starblind Well said!
THIS is the floating speaker I’d buy if I had the spare change.
@LaVikinga in the speaker lightbulb thread I was talking about how I made one of these clouds and wanted to put the lightbulb in it to simulate lightning.
/youtube how to make a lighted hanging cloud
@RiotDemon I saw this a few months ago and had to fight the urge to make one. If I was 13 or 14, my entire bedroom ceiling would be cloud lights.
