The Sanyo “Sound Base” is in the kitchen with a monitor, Roku and Echo Dot hooked up to it, one of those little JBL guys from early on is on my wife’s night stand. The Quirky Qi charger + wireless speaker is on my night stand, and I’m actually using the speaker currently in the garage. However, it doesn’t get at loud as I’d like when I’m wearing ear plugs.
Think I also got a pair of super shitty docks that came with Bluetooth receivers. I put one receiver in an old Bose dock my coworker gave me, and that’s in the master bath. Both of those docks are somewhere in the basement, honestly too shitty to even bother with.
Tl;Dr, I’m apparently the ideal Meh customer because I’ll keep buying speaker docks, so long as they’re cheap

They were just perfect (other than breaking around 9-16 months of use. But JBL was awesome to warranty replace if it failed within 1 year with something better)

Went to bed intending to look at this closer when I got up this AM, but now see the one I wanted was sold out meanwhile. Thanks mehtizens for saving me $5…

I had one of these waaay back when they came out. Sounded very good when I had my galaxy S3 plugged into it. Though this may be a later model with better spec, I stopped using mine because the charger was weaksauce.

@jmbunkin Sometimes manufacturers will call their products refurbished because they don’t want to be responsible for them anymore. If they were sold as new, they’d may still have to carry the warranty.

An Android speaker-dock? Is there such a thing? There really shouldn’t be. Hardware-wize, Android SUCKS. I have an 8YO iOS speaker-dock with an 8YO iPod Touch, and it is still awesome. The greatest feature by far is that the iPod can control the dock, waking the dock up if the dock is turned off and the alarm goes off. Can an Android dock do that?

Downloaded the app from CNET.COM, it dosent work but i got the speaker to work and the sound is pretty dam good with plenty of bass , not bad for the price paid
I’m bummed. I got the bigger one, and it sounded decent… Except I had to hold the connector for both channels to work. I verified with several headphones, etc. that it wasn’t my phone. Already contacted support, so no issue there.
Got mine yesterday…really nice sound. Don’t even care that the app or remote don’t work…I can use the phone controls with an old S4 i have…Hope hey put these on morning save, might buy another…

@mellowirishgent The regular speaker dock works without the app and sounds good. Unfortunately the volume buttons on the dock or remote do nothing.
“There used to be an app that would make the Dreamer function as an alarm clock, but the app has since been removed from the store” sounds like it should not affect music playback.
Downloaded the app from CNET.COM, it dosent work but i got the speaker to work and the sound is pretty dam good with plenty of bass , not bad for the price paid

I’m bummed. I got the bigger one, and it sounded decent… Except I had to hold the connector for both channels to work. I verified with several headphones, etc. that it wasn’t my phone. Already contacted support, so no issue there.
Too bad.
Got mine yesterday…really nice sound. Don’t even care that the app or remote don’t work…I can use the phone controls with an old S4 i have…Hope hey put these on morning save, might buy another…
What am I supposed to do with this thing. I have a type C USB. The add never disclosed that it could be incompatible. I want a return.

In this post, it shows the specs, which clearly states micro-usb.
Furthermore, as was discussed numerous times in this thread, you can use a micro-usb to type-c adapter.

FYI: it could always be incompatible.
This applies to everything, from speaker docks to the girl at the end of the bar. From your morning coffee to your new career. Everything could always turn out to be incompatible. The consequences, of course, may vary.
