Social distancing done right - China House
11I went to China House to pick up dinner and they had the doorway completely walled off with no way to go in at all. They had a built in shelf and a window at the other end of this enclosure. The man I talked dealt with talked through the closed window and only opened it to pass my food and get my credit card.

They put some thought and work into the setup. Good for them!
@f00l
It really is. The wife mentioned that it is also far less likely that they will be shot at this way.
@jst1ofknd
Yeah that’s one benefit.

@f00l @jst1ofknd Yeah too bad employees at fast food places now even need to think about that.
I had Chinese food for lunch today. Was happy. I missed it.
Had a customer the other day talk about how he won’t ever go to a Chinese restaurant again and they can suffer because of what they did to us. I wanted to strangle him.
@RiotDemon
It was “logic” like that which led to the Japanese internment camps in the US during WWII.
@RiotDemon I have some friends with adopted chinese kids and young adults and several of them have been subjected to comments because of this and their race. Beyond stupid and no one should have to deal with something like that - especially kids.
@Kidsandliz @RiotDemon
Things like this upset me. This is 2020! I had hoped we were beyond this stupidity.
And this is how Germans do social distancing.

Then there is this
@Kidsandliz
I want some place to do this around here.
Chinese restaurant (that’s amazing) near my job has a small vestibule you walk into first. Order first, pay by card over the phone. When you arrive you call to let them know you’re there. They put your food on a table in the vestibule and you never enter the actual restaurant. They make sure to do it person by person so there’s not multiple orders sitting there.
