@macromeh@sligett@yakkoTDI Secret Pro Tip: A pattern indistinguishable from a mixture of leaf fragments, smears of mud, and cat barf will match the floor perfectly between annual moppings. This is called “specific locale camo”, and is a print-to-match extra-cost feature.
@macromeh@sligett@werehatrack@yakkoTDI Not sure if it was custom/local but I did see a guy with a truck, I think a Toyota Tacoma, in a parking lot and complemented him on a fine “wrap” because it was really nice. Not like full combat camo but nice forestry environment or something. Never seen anything like that but it was impressive.
Always thought about getting “wraps” but those seem good for doing shows or events; not sure how they hold up over years in weather.
@macromeh@pmarin@sligett@yakkoTDI Custom-printed photorealistic wraps aren’t cheap, but they are readily available. The down side is that they can make the vehicle next to invisible by giving the at-a-glance impression of being something else entirely. The wrap printers will warn you and ask for a signed release before they’ll make one like that.
@bgammill Thank you for saying that! I find that when I stand on a thick, “squishy” mat like these – even briefly – if the soles of my shoes have deep lugs (I think they’re called), they’ll effect some sort of temporary jigsaw-puzzle grip on the mat and when I try to take a step away, it’s like the mat is locked to my shoe, which makes for an uncomfortable/dangerous step. I will acknowledge that I have weak leg muscles, so maybe all of you strong-leggers have no idea what I’m describing, but the mat struggle is real (and has resulted in my throwing such a mat in the trash).
@andymand@bgammill I feel something similar. But it depends on the shoe I’m wearing. Things with thick soles are the worst offenders (clogs, sandals) while thinner soles (running sneakers, barefoot) appreciate the softness to step on.
I absolutely love the anti-fatigue mat I bought many years ago from Rue LaLa. It has gotten somewhat fatigued over the years, so maybe it’s time to get a new one. Using a coupon
With such awful color, I have no problem stepping on this. However, my wife dictates only awesome colors (her definition of awesome, not mine) in the home.
I always buy what is offered with a new chapter in The Dread Inn at Death Rock, my fave serial. Two of them, I have bad knees, and having these around is much handier than searching for the knee pads. W##t often has them at comparable pricing, but in very ugly patterns

@mattig88 Hmm… now that you mention it…. Though I’d heard the washing machine on agitation cycle was also a favorite. I don’t know, not creepy or anything, just internet research.
I bought one, and I am not real pleased with it. It is too high profile on the sides, unlike a few more that I have and really like. This one feels like a trip hazard waiting to happen.

My floor never gets fatigued.
@yakkoTDI Then why is it always lying down?
@sligett @yakkoTDI Mine never gets up anymore, either.
@sligett @werehatrack @yakkoTDI
Pro tip: A camo pattern on your floor greatly reduces the need for cleanup.

@macromeh @pmarin @sligett @werehatrack @yakkoTDI Ask around. The ones I’ve seen barely hold up against branch scrapes or cat claws.

@macromeh @pmarin @sligett @werehatrack @yakkoTDI Officer, I checked my blindspot before I changed lanes but I couldn’t see the car because it was camouflaged!
Looks like a Giant Candy Bar in assorted flavors to me!!
@IndifferentDude ha! that’s what I thought when I first opened the page. I was like “damn, more caffeine candy?”
Looks like another thing for us old farts to trip on.
@bgammill I haven’t tripped over the one I’ve had for years and I normally trip over air.

Mat Struggle in “Live and Let Diet”.
@andymand @bgammill Try it in 4" stilettos and get back to me.
@andymand @bgammill @werehatrack You all need to quit wearing outdoor shoes indoors. Stilettos in the kitchen? No way.

POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
/showme a Giant unwrapped Hershey’s Candy Bar along with a Giant unwrapped Caramel Bar also.
An attempt was made, @mediocrebot.

@stolicat Excellent giphy.
I’m getting old enough to need one of these in front of my exercise machine to prevent me from getting fatigued.
Money back guarantee?
I saw am army walk on these once and all their clothes fell off. Anti fatigue mats really work.
Definitely thought it was some chocolate bar. Brown first in the gif was a choice lol
“Good for in front of the sink or the stove or for when you need to get on your knees to do a job.” Thinly veiled innuendo?

@mattig88 that’s what the scrub kneepads were for
Ugh I’m going to need at least a dozen of these to deal with my EX-WIFE
/giphy laughable-embarrassed-berry
Are they sufficiently puncture-proof to resist my stilettos?
@werehatrack are you doing dishes in them

@tinamarie1974 @werehatrack Sounds kinda trad wife-ish.

I love how mine arrived, folded in half, with a large sheet of paper in the plastic bag that says “DO NOT FOLD.”
Fun.
@greyfade Omg, yeah, same. The entire plastic wrapping had that printed all over it about 20 times. They refunded me.
These are great. I have really bad neuropathy and these help when I am in the kitchen.
