SideDeal $99 IRK
5Maybe you’ll get it for a buck, you big spender. But here’s the thing; these are almost 100% guaranteed not to sell out (because Meh still has Casery and TrackRs to ditch) so you’ve really got to be kind of nuts to buy this before you lock in the spending on Mehrathon items to knock the cost of this IRK back to that still-not-guaranteed-to-be-worth-it single buck.
On the other hand, nobody’s gonna stop you from buying this first, and then falling asleep at the keyboard until the alarm wakes you up on Monday morning. It’s your choice - but the sage advice is right there in the IRK listing:
…don’t buy this IRK (our most popular option!)

IRK’s are made the same way as Hershey’s Kisses!!
On the last IRK go-around, Most of us suckers who PAID for the IRKs got TrackRs and junk; the Inkers free IRKs seamed to fair better!
So the moral is : DONT BUY THE IRKS !
@lonocat
I just threw out the last of my trackrs… You can’t even download the app anymore. Even their relaunched brand Adero has gone out of business.
@lonocat @snotbottom For Android users, Swiftfinder still works. (I didn’t know that Adero was related, but I miss it even less.)
@lonocat you can all mail me trackrs. On my todo list to make an FOSS use for them… but them again this list will never get done…
@lonocat @snotbottom @werehatrack Adero was the TrackR rebrand/reboot back in 2018, so the 2021 shutdown of their backend was by the later company already.
Then there’s also Aduro, which manufacturers power and phone accessories. Similar name but completely different companies.
I can’t believe their still up to doing gimmicks for irks.
@Enigma The IRK itself (and the BOC and Fuko/Fuku) was a gimmick to begin with.
Too late! I already purchased one at midnight (Eastern Time). I have too much fun with the reveals
yeah I don’t like the pay X get refunded Y new thing we seem to be doing.
@Alderuen Especially since it’s double what it was last time. But at least you can actually get one.
@katbyter
And if there’s $98 worth of inflatable LED speaker filter caps and such that you decide to buy, the IRK might only cost you a buck - and when all of the crap arrives in dribbles and dabs, the regret can be so much more prolonged.
Or somebody can just shell out the $99 and have a really good chance to learn that they shouldn’t have done that.
My last few IRKs have been decent, including a nice toaster that I kinda needed, a little (actually biggish) in-the-cup blender, a silicone cup that I seem to be using a lot and other relatively not useless things. Only got one Trackr (I’ve received a ton of them in the past).
But I was gonna pass this round, until I bought a bunch of shit and, well, I’ll be getting my refund.
I do need to cool it on the retail therapy. It might be better than eating my feelings though. To be clear, I do both.
