The SD ad copy makes reference to selling out the ($100) refurbs last time, and then the $150 non-refurbs after that… However, that was for a different brand Phase2Energy (which had a slightly more trustworthy Coleman and Duracell clone). Most of us with the P2E ones were pleasantly surprised with results.
HOWEVER…
This Puleida unit was probably from about 2021, and probably had a 50% charge when they were new… Odds are it’s been sitting on a shelf and with self-discharge has probably been sitting with batteries discharged for a year or more. Discussion last time for this brand https://meh.com/forum/topics/puleida-600w518wh-portable-power-station
Also, there used to be a Puleida amazon store, but they were probably kicked off or banned by amazon for either a) Review Manipulation; b) Lying about product specs/safety; or c) massive failure or return rates, etc. Would love to see the actual reviews from this, not just the 40-something from the $299 sidedeal-seller one (ew)
I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy this, but expect a high mortality rate. Make sure you fully charge and exercise these a few times, and test all the inputs and outputs before any warranty period expires. Also, if they’ve been sitting flat for a year or so and they actually charge back up, expect the real capacity to only be half or 3/4 the rated capacity
OK-- so yeah, did a little digging; these were around in July 2021. Found a sponsored review of the 300Wh unit from “The gadgeteer” when it was “Price: $299 (on sale for $219 with coupon at time of review)”, and complained about “wattage peaks”.
The Lithium-Ion battery chemistry should mean a pretty decent lifespan, and it worked well during the review period, but I’m always
leery of unknown companies and how long the products will last.
And then they vanished. The original product that was linked is gone. There’s remnants of an Amazon store, but the only ‘link’ that works is the (ew) 3rd party seller one. Fleabay only shows the 300Wh one, often without a brand; it’s like this 600W (518Wh) one never existed at all.
Maybe if Meh wanted to blow these out at $100 like the P2E ones we’d take the bait. And as always, if anyone (or even meh) has a dead one, I’d be interested in reclaiming cells and making some more 16V and 20V LiIon battery packs for my kids’ and neighbors’ power wheels.
I just got mine in the mail today. When I plugged it in it showed a 70% charge from the get-go. I’ll run it through the stress tests mentioned in the first comment and see what comes of that.

I got one in a regret kit, battery is iffy indeed.
Sure, better than me simply recycling it.
