These candles came & clearly have been manufactured years ago. All of the batteries are heavily corroded & as a result the candles have that corroded battery acid particles all over them. Needless to say I am returning everything for a full refund. I would not recommend at all!!!
@mkmcq you didn’t say the corroded batteries will leave stuff everywhere as soon as you open the box. Warning buying these you will get corroded battery acid all over everything if you try to remove these from the boxes.
@Thelordcurtis Dead alkaline batteries are infamous for leaking, but the leaking batteries contain a potassium compound that reacts to form a slightly alkaline (not acidic) carbonate salt immediately upon exposure to air. It will damage many finishes and corrode metal. Yes, it’s advisable to avoid contact, but under most circumstances the immediate hazard is low.
@KSchweitz The sale page noted that the batteries in the package were dead, but it might have been better to add a warning about leakage. Hindsight is like that. Removing the batteries before shipment would have required opening, unpacking, and resealing each carton. That added expense probably would have raised the price unacceptably.
Included batteries have gone bad and will need to be thrown out. Requires 2 AA batteries per candle

Does each candle use 1 AA or 2 AA batteries?
There are conflicting statements in the description.
@SirEgg Two per candle. The error should be corrected shortly. I hope. Maybe.

@mkmcq We clearly stated in bold: “Included batteries have gone bad and will need to be thrown out. Requires 2 AA batteries per candle”
