@ELJAY The key word here is “Visited”. Of those that clicked meh, perhaps 42 of them hadn’t left yet. How the site detects when you ‘leave’ is a mystery to me.
Just way too many bad reviews I wanted to get two of these so they could battle it out you know the best shark wins but seems out everybody says this thing breaks in about four minutes I don’t think to fight with happened and you know what, that just makes me very sad I miss you Fonzie
I have one of these – well similar enough to say so anyway, and I’m pretty happy with it. So much so, I bought a second one that is “IQ” with a self-emptying base.
I got on the roomba craze early on, maybe 10 years ago, and I found once the novelty wore off, it really wasn’t great. It took ages for it to complete a cycle, and was a mess to clean up, and particularly bad with pet and long wife hair. The roller was basically trashed each time. Eventually I just gave up as it was faster and more effective to just vacuum.
About 2 years ago, I got a deal on a similar Shark model. I wanted to try again because at that point I had pulled up much of the carpet on the first floor and the dust was proving to be a challenge. I quickly realized the technology had evolved pretty well over that time. It still does the random, “bounce all over the house” thing but I was amazed how much junk it picked up. And after about 3 passes, it finally got most of it. After that I ran it every 2-3 days and it really kept up with most of the work in those rooms pretty well. The roller rarely gets overwhelmed with hair (it’s designed not to) and if it does, it pulls free pretty easily.
Knowing I was moving into a house with all hardwood, I doubled-down on Shark and got an IQ with self empying base. This one is even better. It does a row-by-row movement method which is more logical, effective and efficient. It also draws a map of the floor so you can create virtual wall to prevent it from entering certain areas. (The previous model uses low profile magnetic strips, which work great too). The base station makes it even easier to dispose of the debris.
Finally the one time I had an issue with the first robot, I called Shark, and they just sent out another robot to me in 3 days. Great customer service there.
Anyway, TL;DR: I think this unit is good deal for folks that have hardwood floors. The IQ models are better but if you’re just looking for something to maintain the floors in between deeper cleans, then this will do nicely.

You’re thinking days? (I have six cats in this half of the house, and I would expect the robot to take one look, and bore a hole straight through the wall to escape.)
got one. better than the gen-1 roomba i gave to my wife when we split. with 3 cats and no housekeeper since before the march '20 shutdown, needed a few runs to collect an amazing amount of cat hair, kibble, and other dreck. i ran it a few times downstairs - it worked quite well and navigated thru the admittedly cluttered space.
phone app works on my pixel 3XL. i’m happy with it. i wish it came with the magnetic strip / barriers mentioned in the manual, but for $89, it’s well worth it.

Somehow, the idea of having to jump the Shark as it patrols the floor just doesn’t appeal all that strongly.
OH MY GOD THEY SUCKED
OFFUP GLEN!!!@shahnm Note to self: Don’t attempt to
swallowdrink when reading comments.How can the number of meh clicks exceed the number of visitors, as it did at 12:01?
(people must think it really sucks…)
@ELJAY Lots of people don’t so much visit as just kinda wander by…

If this deal sucked any harder it would be an offensive stereotype.
Your missing the tank.

@ACraigL thank you
@ACraigL Thanks, this insight helped!
thanks for the details
Does this come with any MANUFACTURER warranty? Beyond the 90 day meh one.
Wonder how many days it would take before Husky hair blew it up.

Meh, I need this! I ordered it, it is time for me to try a robot vacuum. If it works, I will be happy. If not, well, it happens.

I am just hoping that my college degree is enough prep to wend my way through the needed programming . . .
Broken. This thing sucks in 2 ways. Not worth the hassel.
It doesn’t work stops all the time, it starts and stuck on every corner and then your app doesn’t work then
