I really want one of these. The problem is that a little over a year ago, I bought a Shark steam mop on meh that arrived missing pieces. After a dozen emails, chats and calls between meh and Shark, I got mailed more wrong parts to different models. I did the go around again, until I got a 3rd round of wrong parts. Then I gave up.
Actually, that whole thing was why I stopped shopping here.
@mamawoot@sammydog01@kidsandliz No, I wanted it for the handheld blaster in the pics. I went more by the pics and amazon comparison, rather than the parts list last night. I cancelled the order. I jabbed meh for the comparison below.
Unlike the one sold on Amazon, this one seems to be missing a few attachments such as the steamer attachment. Although the steamer is shown in the last “funny” pic, it’s not listed as an item in the box, unless I’m missing something:
What’s in the Box?
1x Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket Mop
1x Rectangle Washable Steam Pocket Pad
1x Washable Blast & Scrub Pad
1x Easy Fill Water Flask 0x Hose or other attachments
There are also a few heads sold with the Amazon mop that’s not included with this one. You can buy those items separately, but they sure aren’t cheap. Just keep this in mind.
@troy Thanks, I figured it out and cancelled the order. The hand held is why I wanted it and I went by the pics. I didn’t catch the parts list at first. How long does it take to see the my credit card monies returned?
@troy Well Meh should expect a LOT of returns!
Also comparing it to the one on Amazon with all the additional attachments is really an apples-to-oranges comparison. You should have noted the differences (before Meh’s edit). Nice last minute photo change. Good luck with those returns & grumpy customers!
You are out of luck meh. You sent me the Shark mop thing-a-ma-jigger in my fuko. Not going to use that either though as my kitchen is the size of a postage stamp, a regular sponge mop is fast and easy, and carpet elsewhere (yeah I prefer wood floors, but since I rent…).
@aristan I rent. Carpet is old as the hills. Likely never has been cleaned. I know for sure the slumlord doesn’t clean it between tenants (and when I vacuumed it with cheap bissell I got 2.5 canisters of dirt for every 3’x3’ section I vacuumed (too scary to think what would have come up had it been a decent vac instead of a used one I bought for 5 bucks). Be too expensive if I cleaned it this way and actually had a CLEAN spot. Then I’d have to pay to clean the entire carpet. Nope nope nope.
Crap, I just got one of these on Morning Save a couple weeks ago for $35. I see that someone said they had an issue with missing parts. I guess I should open mine and see if it’s all there, and I really hope it is because I bought it for the handheld portion really. My Dirt Devil steam mop that I got for Christmas in 2011 still works great but I can’t clean anything but floors with it since it’s on a really long pole.
@mfladd I didn’t really check on Morning Save, but I see the one here says ‘0x Hose or other attachments’ so the fact that I have none of those things doesn’t surprise me and I’m not pissed. The $122-$160 prices on Amazon would include all those other accessories, I imagine. (I looked it up and yes, it includes all of those.) I hope this will still serve the purpose I intended when I bought it.
@mfladd The main part of the machine with the detachable handle, extra large cleaning pad, and small cleaning pad is what I expected. I didn’t expect a hose and other accessories so it’s ok that I didn’t get them. I got exactly what’s in the picture. I might check into ordering some of the accessories though. I’d like to clean my ceiling fans and blinds with them if possible.
