I got one the last time. Works good but u can only use it on tile. Not wood or linoleum, which 99.9% of our house is. I guess we should just buy a new house.
@samjam10412 i have none so that’s…extra good. although tbh the deal died for me when i read we couldn’t choose the color (i really wanted neon green!) and then doubly so with no attachments.
@Felyne Where did you get that idea? Instructions say only to avoid use on “unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors”. I use a steam mop on our finished wood floors all the time.
@Sardinicus Said in the instructions, it could take the finish off as well as on the linoleum. The company that does the floors said to avoid it as well, could buckle the wood. You’ve had no problem?
@Felyne I own another model, but I use mine on linoleum and finished hardwood all the time, I literally have no tile in my house. I’ve seen no ill effects, but maybe I’ve been lucky.
And who reads the instructions? Do they explain why I have all these extra screws?
Well it looks like it might be a controversial subject. As others have said, I use steam on the hardwood floors all the time. A quick Google search shows that there are claims on both sides, including a blog post on the Armstrong website that says not to do it:
The weird thing about this is that they claim the issue is the water rather than the temperature, and then they recommend a Bona-type spray cleaner (Bruce brand) that is almost certainly mostly water.
If you are doing this right, the water residue “dries” almost immediately. There is far less water contact with the wood with the steam cleaner than with the Bona spray, and I’ve had no problems with either.
I dare say that any floor cleaning product that can’t work on wood nor linoleum isn’t going to have much of a market.
From the map of purchases Montana is the only state with no purchases. Go Montana. Either not enough internet, people, tile, or one of many other reasons. But in the end great Job Montana. No accessories no purchases.
Well I hope this works on carpeting… No I’m not that dumb… Just dumb enough to buy a product I have no use for… I just bought this and I don’t even have wood or tile flooring… What have I done?? What have the creators of this site done? I think I fucked up…

Meh. Not like I can steam-mop any of the surfaces in my dorm…
@mdszy Not with that attitude.
@mdszy “Well, it proves one thing, Mr. Hooper. It proves you wealthy college boys don’t have the education enough to admit when you’re wrong.”
@nadroj
Here’s your chance Michael Phelps.
6th at 15 minutes in? Something is broken.
@Pavlov what happened to your original comment? . And the comment I replied to that replied to mine?
Something is very broken.
@RedOak Not broken from my comment/s - I changed my mind and deleted, which will delete the comments made downstream in reply also.
But yes, I understand your concern as there are so few postings in tonight’s product thread.
@Pavlov actually, my reply to your (now deleted) reply survives.
@RedOak I just ran a little test, it has to be up one more level (the parent comment) to delete the comments downstream if the parent is deleted.
The accessories may not be worth $100, but an incomplete shark is worth nothing to me.
@hchavers I was just about to pull the trigger - But then I realized that it didn’t have the accessories…
Makes me steaming mad that the one attachment that would have made this useful is not included. I got hosed on this product deal tonight.
Got one of these for the wife’s birthday.
Let me rephrase that; The wife got ME one for her birthday.

“Sual-sided steam pocket cleaning pads”?

@akumax oh burnnnnnnn!
There is a severe lack of Shark-week related comments in this thread.

Visualize Roy Scheider in the middle.
@phendrick With a steam mop.
@Thumperchick steam swab the deck with that thing, Hooper, and be careful; or it’ll blow up!
Sorry, not biting tonight.

@Felyne Glad I read this first! Only have maybe 10 sq ft of tile in my entire house.

@Felyne What is the .1% of your house that this could be used on. Do you have like a single tile inlaid in the center of a room.
@MrMark 1 small bathroom
This is BULL—Shark!
also i somehow completely missed both shark week outrages and the ms paint accident. strange, yet i remain unbothered.
All my floor care stuff is Shark they are fantastic and well supported.
PAID FOR BY SHARK FOR AMERICA. No, not really, I love it.
Don’t try to tell me the order “number” was randomly generated!

@blaineg Though Giphy seems considerably more random.

This has inspired me to make a brush attachment for the Pocket Mop I already have!
Thanks.
Just because it’s a refurb, doesn’t mean we don’t need the accessories. #FAIL @Meh
The Shark 2 in 1 Blast works goodly. Better than the rubbermaid pad cleaner. but rubbermaid is a better internet name.
