It's double-tracked and both tracks are compressed and EQ'd, then the dominant track has a flange-y delay on it; that's why it sounds so processed ('cause it is!). But not pitch-corrected.
Selfies in cars = evidence against you. Insurance claims, wrongful death lawsuits, what have you. Well, if you're driving. I suppose if you're legally and safely parked, there isn't an issue.
Not to over-analyze this (and, really, it doesn't take much reflection), but the automobile is an icon (and in this case I mean a thing not only of symbolic but spiritual significance) and homage to individualism, narcissism and--ironically--isolation. We entomb and insulate ourselves in our cars. And the preponderance of road rage suggests that cars decrease empathy and any longing for human interaction. In our cars, we are all powerful and self-contained.
If you think about it, a selfie is just the social (again with the irony) media version of the same thing.
@Cinoclav Moreover I'd wager that my expenditure of effort in a cursory analysis was substantially less than what it took to compose and sing that song. Just sayin'. :-)
@bluedyn I want @joelmw to get his goat glory, but it seems like @cengland0 really should have had October and I want them to get November. @joelmw will still be ranting in December.
@Thumperchick True. That goat starter kit deserves some recognition. It's surprising he didn't win October. Not that you haven't been worthy. :) There are many more months and there will be many more goats.
@bluedyn And I think @Thumperchick is a little hurt that I don't like the cr--creatively less appealing Supernatural. ;-p In any case, @cengland0 is worthy. And while I'm flattered by the nomination, I'm not completely convinced that I am. Don't worry, I'll be ranting until they shut me down. I was going to say "I plan on ranting," but it's not exactly a plan, it's just a thing that always happens. I don't fully understand it. I've been this way since I was just a little guy. I'm like this in person (especially if you ply me with liquor or friendship). What's scary is that I mostly mean most of what I say. It's like I was telling the guy . . .
@joelmw :P This is more about @cengland0 being robbed last month than about you. I'm certain you'll say something goat-worthy at the end of November, too.
@hart The American Automobile and the Selfie are perfect expressions of and metaphors for so much of what defines this culture and makes it think it's adorable, but in fact makes it creepy and sad, like an adolescent with infantile affectations. And, speaking of metaphors, that one works as well: We are an overgrown adolescent with infantile affectations.
Is Irk using auto tune?!
I would hope Irk would hit more of his notes if so
@matthew He has a voice of an angel! He hits every note as he intended.
@matthew It just has that strangely electronic hum to it today. Regardless, ♥ it.

@matthew Oh you fancy, huh?
@jsh139 I'm the realest
Does the guy in the background agree with Irk?

That they would happen together only makes sense.
@joelmw "Not to over-analyze this..."
Too late.
@Cinoclav Oh, I have more. Thank the gods I'm holding back. ;-p
@Cinoclav Moreover I'd wager that my expenditure of effort in a cursory analysis was substantially less than what it took to compose and sing that song. Just sayin'. :-)
@joelmw It's Irk. He whips them up, spur of the moment style.
@Cinoclav Hey, I spurt.
@joelmw I seriously can't understand how you're not getting more goat votes. It's mini-rants like these that make you so worthy.
@bluedyn I want @joelmw to get his goat glory, but it seems like @cengland0 really should have had October and I want them to get November. @joelmw will still be ranting in December.

@joelmw Hmm....yup, those are words.

@hart You mock my cursory analysis?

@bluedyn Note that I said "infantile affectations," not "affections for infants"--which could either be natural and sweet or horribly, horribly wrong.
@joelmw Perhaps we could split the scapegoat duties. We could each have half a goat icon like this:
@Thumperchick It's going to be hard to beat the caped goatfucker incident. But cumulatively, he is continuing to earn it almost daily.
@joelmw Proving my point for me :)
How was Irk moving down the road so fast? Was it in a car? Was this video, ironically, a one minute & two second selfie of Irk in a car?
@Trask Irk is the height--or shall I say "depth"? yes, yes, I think I shall--the depth of irony.
@Trask It would seem quite obvious, in proper Chuck Norris fashion - Irk was standing still while the world was adjusting to his position.
