I don't use a safe, but I do have a pocket carved out of a sailing book that Walter Cronkite did the forward of. It's filled with foreign coins and a packet of miracle fruit pills.
Since amazon now owns woot, maybe they are flushing their loser products through where ever the now meh owners find their crap? LOL Actually the reviews on much of the woot stuff sucks too. And, by the way, according the local thug kid you can freeze many of these locks with spray stuff and break right in (along with trailer hitch locks, bike locks…)
I've actually bought this stuff on Amazon (similar but larger chinese safe's from known manufacturers) and had to return it. You made a big mistake even offering this - major aggravation and annoyance when you can't open the safe. This isn't a Coleman cup or a tshirt. Bad idea.
Separate issue on this. - Your marketing? Giving three choices (and confusing pictures and two products that seem the same but from different manufactures) kind of kills the point of 1 day 1 deal doesn't it? Matt on vacation this week?
Safe was dead on arrival. It fails to do pretty much the only thing that I need a safe to do for most of the time it is being used, which is to close. No response from Meh support after several days. What gives?
@brandonburke Sounds like something went terribly wrong. Have you checked your spam folder, by chance? Perhaps @hollboll can make sure your message was received?
@brandonburke Right now we are able to respond to all support requests within 24 hours, unless they're sent in over the weekend in which case they'll be responded to by end of day Monday. I'll check in on this for you tomorrow.
My safe has arrived and works great. Leaving it unbolted on the floor in the closet with some rocks in it. That's right, stupid criminals! Take the ruse and ignore my valuables which are cleverly hidden on top of my dresser in plain sight.
As of August 20 this is nowhere to be found. Tracking info shows it to be stranded somewhere between Fedex and USPS but the only way I can get more information is to call both and ask (per meh support suggestion). I've already spent more time checking up on this package than its worth. I can handle 'meh' experiences, but my first meh experience has been decidedly sub-meh.
@snapster Thanks, refund hit today (for the safe only), no refund for shipping/VIP cost. Which I haven't used since I was cautious about ordering anything since I was waiting on my safe that never arrived. So I guess you get to keep my $5 and I'll stick with Amazon from now on....
@capnmonkey If you did pay for the VMP and you're really not coming back, make sure you cancel before it auto-renews this month. Be sure to buy a $1 shirt with free shipping before you go.
@capnmonkey ok well it sounds like it worked out without more time sunk. I'd make a joke about us having a safe word to stop the pain, but I suspect our humor is dead to you.
@snapster It's cool, I only needed the safe to put my $5 in, but I spent my $5 on VMP so that I could have the safe shipped into oblivion, so I no longer need the safe. So I guess it kind of works out and I don't have to have an empty safe in my house.
So I got this a while back and it was only opened the other day for my son's birthday. We discovered the keypad started bending inward as soon as we started setting it up. This led to us disassembling the control panel and Lo! half the screws keeping the control board with the buttons connected to the case were out (but located within the mechanism, hence the rattle we'd heard). Turns out the plastic holes they mounted to were stripped and they kept popping out. A little 5-minute epoxy and 10 min later everything was all sorted out and we had the welcome fun and learning discovering how the mechanism operates (with the manual key override as well as the digital mechanism). So it was worth the price.

Interior dimensions should be in # of Kindle Fires that fit since that is more relatable to meh users at this point.
meh
There is a button for that.
It's safe to say that you if want a safe this is a safe bet.
I don't use a safe, but I do have a pocket carved out of a sailing book that Walter Cronkite did the forward of. It's filled with foreign coins and a packet of miracle fruit pills.
Now that I know this, it's no longer a good hiding place
@Jennn --- where did you say you lived?
Sorry, I doxed your safe: http://www.amazon.com/North-By-Northeast-Ray-Ellis/dp/0848706412
82 cents? Wow, that's a much better deal than our safes.
UM ACTUALLY i think this is the book http://www.amazon.com/Ships-Tale-N-Jay-Young/dp/1932482032/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1406829941&sr
@jennn You're clearly trying to throw us off. That book has no forward by Walter Cronkite. (Also, have you read it? Is it good?)
oh oops http://www.amazon.com/Comeback-My-Race-Americas-Cup/dp/0312009003/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=&qid= that's the one!
no @jqubed i haven't read it because it has a gigantic hole in it holding my treasures
@jennn You mean you eviscerated it without even reading it first to see if it was worth saving before you killed it? You monster!
Oooo. So close to being my first Meh purchase since the day zero shirt. Just, I need one that is fire proof.
I was all excited too, but then after trying to will it so, and find some hidden ETL fire rating... meh.
Good call. Not worth it if not fire-resistant.
I was looking for a safe and am considering the Medium one since its cheap, but meh. Can anyone convince me this is worthy?
Looks like the reviews on Amazon are crappy, these things suck! Major Meh!
A safe to put all the fucks I give.
What IS in the Box!?
anyway, how do you secure them so bad guy just doesn't pick it up and walk away with it? and is shipping still $5 w/o vmp?
A safe is in the box. Fill it with heavy rocks so they can't pick it up. Yes.
When the safe door is open, it allows access to screw/bolt them to something that doesn't move. (wall, floor, etc)
A Solid Gold Bar if you got one just laying around.
Get a bear. Train said bear to guard the safe. This fail proof solution brought to you by @MEHcus
I could kind of use a home safe, but these seem just a little TOO meh, even for me.
Now why didn't my "key" fit one of these?
I clicked on "meh," but it didn't transfer. There's a yellow circle but no meh face.
If at first you don't succeed, meh, meh again
The meh face today is my favorite so far.
argggg m8y, it's a pirate with hamburger buns for lips
I want to click on the yellow circles and see what meh deals I missed!! And also what Meh faces I missed!!!!
Had the fortune to be able to meh this product twice! With different faces!
That's interesting. Was the first face a winking face?
Hmm meh'ed once and like labellyy said - a pirate
hey thats me :)
Finally, a place where I can put my squirt gun. Thanks, Meh.
NSFW
but maybe for your home
Do all varieties of this safe allow for communication with spirits beyond the veil, or just the Medium?
It's a safe bet that they don't.
The first review on Amazon for the Personal Safe wins the award for world's longest run-on sentence.
who wrote it - hemmingway?
For sale, baby safe, never opened.
I would recommend NOT getting one with an electronic lock. They are super easy to be "bumped" and open up
Was interested till I saw the Amazon reviews, looks like the quality is pretty terrible.
In its defense, the quality of the reviews is pretty terrible too.

Meh. I figured it out pretty easily.
The deal is safes that suck. What bothers me is that every deal doesn't have a writeup saying why it sucks.
You're fun.

@Thumperchick @JonT It looks like you are correct. There was a message in Spam with a more timely response. Thank you.

@capnmonkey my guess is we don't have another to ship but lack of delivery will certainly be reason for refund.

@capnmonkey @snapster C'mon, get a room, you two.

@basically Glad you took all of that as a positive! :)
@basically You have just the right mehxpectations.
