@heli0s I’m pretty close to HQ, about 18 miles as the troll rolls. My local post office has been inexplicably efficient lately, even delivering my Moneual vacuum on Christmas Eve. I fear they will revert back to their old ways after my fukus ship.

@chellemonkey Heat-transfer vinyl, add a name and give it as a personalized gift. Cut them up and make beer/can koozies (also with HTV). Sew in a zipper and make 'em makeup bags (with HTV). Basically, monograms galore.

@rokamortis I think we got the exact same order. I wanted some laptop sleeves and more variety! But I got 3 of everything. Oh well. I already had the colorful polka dot 7" sleeve and I love it, and paid more than $8 just for it, and now I have 3 backups.

@xxbritaxx I was hopeful for more variety and laptop stuff, but it is what it is. For $13 I'm not that disappointed, it was worth a shot. My daughter likes her new Peace Sign / Hearts case that thankfully works for her iPad. I'm going to try to insert a couple of magnets to make it activate the sleep / wake functionality and then it should be nearly perfect.

@JonT bringing in extra staff and overtime for this deal must be killing the already seemingly negative profit this deal got Meh. When you consider I bought 90 for $12 with no shipping - well I'm surprised you guys didn't just cancel the order because it just wasn't worth it for you.

Lot's of places run 6 to 8 weeks shipping standard on large orders. I consider getting delivery of mine before Valentine's Day to be a minor miracle and excellent service. Again think about the value of this deal; for a lot of us this worked out to be something like buy 1 get 89 free.

I can't even begin to express my gratitude to this site for existing. In fact, it's deals like this and crazy stuff like $5 a month for free shipping that scare me when I think about the long term viability of this site or it's owners willingness to pack it in because it's not worth the hassle and complaints to them. I found this place through your Daring Fireball sponsorship a while back and now I'm hooked on this community that just happens to have a deal every day at midnight. @iggy71 Are you aware that the term "packer" is not a slur? It wasn't in any way meant to be deragatory and I have no idea why it would be taken that way. But when they say they'll try not to give you any dupicates, and then give 3 of every single one, that does kinda suck. It seems that some of the individual human beings who are worthy of dignity and respect and who were tasked with packing our orders did a better job than others. I think they all still deserve to live though.

@xxbritaxx Thanks for your opinion. You know what they say about opinions. Not quite sure about your slur comment. I wasn't implying you were being derogatory - more-so implying myself that the person wasn't even living up to the minimum standards of the job (hence, should be fired). Sure some jobs aren't the greatest but why not try to do your best and be the most creative you can at it. It will carry forward as you move up the ladder and lead to greatness.

@iggy71 This was my first order and I've since placed one order I haven't received yet (the universal laptop charger thing), so we'll see. I know it's called "Meh" and our expectations should keep that in mind, but it's not called "Liar" so it is still reasonable to expect honesty. If I'd gotten a variety of sleeves but none of them had happened to work for me I'd have no complaint because that's exactly what they said could happen. Getting triplicates of all cases and 90% being for Kindles is NOT what they said could happen.

@Relleluck No, I didn't get variety. I ordered the 30 pk over the 10 pk SPECIFICALLY to get a good variety. Instead I got 3 of the EXACT mix (type and pattern) of a 10 pk all put in one box. You should have set an alarm for midnight EST if you wanted in. I wish I missed it.

I think there have been cutbacks in Built Security (BS) for short) of late so they probably won't come knocking at your door to make sure you are using the cases ONLY with their designated devices but its best not to discuss these things on public message boards ya know?

@platojello If I get my box by the end of the month, I'm using them as wedding shower favors, and will take the rest to work. I have a feeling most of us will be in the same position, though.

@xxbritaxx The 7" HDX is slightly different then other 7" tablets. Here is mine in the Fire HD 7 Slim Case. It just fits but I would be concearned about it falling out once that elastic started to loosen. I also use the Kindle Fire twist top soft case, which is snug but works great as a minimal cover.

@neuromancer Wait, do these things actually work well to insulate cold drinks? I've been trying and failing to think what I could use these for, but if one will keep my bottle of Carnation Instant Breakfast cold for longer that would actually be useful for me. I don't really care if my water is cold or not, but room temperature Carnation Instant Breakfast is just nasty and half the time I forget to drink it right away and then I'm just out of luck.

@xxbritaxx I don't know if it helps keep stuff cold, because I put a ton of ice in my water bottle, but I like it because it keeps condensation from forming on the bottle, which means I can put a second one in my bookbag and not have to worry about ruining my homework. 10/10 would buy again.

@xxbritaxx - neoprene is a decent insulator. I have a Built NY lunch bag. Works ok, won't keep it cold all day, but keeps some chill for a couple hours.

@djslack If anyone got an 11" macbook air case that wants to trade for anything here (maybe not the ipad with smart case sleeve, if my gf likes that it's hers) that seems like a likely candidate for my little tablet. Or i could just go to the store, i guess, but where's the fun in that?

@Teripie I have the Nook HD+, and none of the cases I got was sized right for it. Best bet is to have her measure outside dimensions so you can compare with what you have.

@limehouse I did two mods - one was to put a heavy plastic circle in the bottom to create something of a base and the other was to tuck the two sewn corners up, to reduce the tendency to sit on the wobbly seam. Love the lens sleeve idea, BTW.

@ashortfuse13 Asked the guy in the next cube and he says it's a little girly for his tastes. I don't know, I'm sorta color blind in that area. @atravis6 i tried really hard but my hp must be too fat. If it didnt sort of dip down in the center of the zipper it would fit perfectly
