@willdavi The only reason why you regret it is because it wasn’t as rare as you thought it was. Now that’s some epic shopping psychology right there. If there were less to purchase you wouldn’t have regret. haha.
@hoosier@Stumpy91 It said “random” but 95% or more got 2 basic common nano drones for $12 (so, effectively $6 each, just like the current deal), including myself. Just a few got anything nicer, like a single bigger done, which is what people were hoping for. So we were disappointed.
You may feel no wind at ground level, but even a slight rustling of trees further up is indication not to go higher. If you’ve ever flown a power kite, you can do it with no wind at ground if you can get it high enough in the initial run/run and launch.
So yeah if a drone says little to no wind, I’d probably not fly it much overhead height to be on the safe side.
Obviously not everyone knows this though, so they should be more explicit about not flying it high. It’s a shame but doesn’t surprise me. I do recommend power kites, though, if you have any open space xD.
I’m tired of wasting money on these little shitty drones. For the amount I’ve spent here, I could have got a really shitty one from wish.com, at least it would have been really big and had a more epic crash
My shipment has been stuck in the same place for 8 days now. Sent a complaint but they say it will take 7 to 9 days to reply.
Is there anyway to track Pitney-Bowes shipments?? It says it’s been in LA since the 23rd and it hasn’t moved.
Post office just says “waiting for” the item.
I want my drones!!!
@timg mine are stuck in the same place. On the meh tracking it says the got to my post office but then went back to LA 2 hours later, I love 6ish hours away. USPS tracking doesn’t have them leaving and going back.
@malovett this was well before the protests, so they have no excuse for not moving them to their final destinations. Just annoys me that I can’t contact the shipping company about it and my complaint to Meh will take 7 to 9 days to be addressed.
@timg you can go to the pitney bowes site and put in the same tracking number, but it seems like there are a bunch of spurious location hits that don’t make sense. The packages can’t really be going back and forth between states and cities quite as much as is shown: either scans aren’t being registered as the correct times/days, or they aren’t being registered as the correct cities. Some of these seem to be filtered out in what you see when you look at the tracking here on meh.com.
Well, I don’t have mine yet, but through the pasta drop website I learned you can check the weight of the package. Mine is 9oz.
So I’m guessing another ‘random’ micro drone about the sames as the 4 for $10.
Is I.R.D. a thing? The Instant Regret Drone?
Now the tricky part, click on the ‘pin’ view tracking page link. Near the bottom of that page is the weight. It seems that it takes a while for that info to be updated, but the drones should have it by now.
Good luck! I hope yours is more random than mine appears to be.
