QFX WiFi Speakers from a couple of weeks ago.
0Does anyone have any comments on the QFX speakers sold a couple of weeks ago? Mine work great except one doesn’t hold a charge, hopefully that will clear up with a full solid charge. The sound is great and when you get how to set them up, it’s much easier. Does anyone have a clue if you can hook these up to a TV? I’ve got a new 4K OLED and would love to hook them up with it. It is possible I’ll need a receiver but I’m thinking the really smart people on this forum may know if it’s possible. Thank you and best wishes.

There are comments ongoing in the product thread as people hook them up and use them.
For your TV the easiest thing might be to use the aux cable that comes in the box, assuming you have a 1/8" output. A single unit plays in stereo by itself, although you don’t get much channel separation and the stereo sounds better if you use a pair of them as left and right speakers. Since you’re not streaming from your tv over wifi (or using the app to control them) your best bet might be to achieve this with a channel splitter and the aux cables. It might be a little rigged up but cheaper than a proper sound bar.
You could also use a Bluetooth transmitter from your tv but that’s additional complexity and expense for no additional functionality. If your tv will pair with a Bluetooth speaker you could try that (I’m not sure if any do, but it’s possible).
As always, your best bet for a discussion on a product is in the same deal thread where you bought it.
Easy to jump there by going to the order in your account tab where you’ll find a direct link.
@RedOak Thank you. I checked that thread and it’s not addressed but I’ll check other places on the web. These speakers are excellent. I bought 6 and I have two pair set up in my Family room and Bedroom each. They sound great and once you understand how to hook them up to WiFi and then how to get them paired so they work in stereo, it’s easier the second time. I’ve got one speaker that may have a problem, the light on the speaker flickers and it doesn’t sync as fast but I’ll keep an eye on it. There is a 1 year warranty from QFX so I feel pretty good if I need to have it replaced but I’ll hook up the last pair first so I know all of the issues I have. Excellent speakers and going through WiFi is great. I did find it much better hooking them up when plugged in even when that battery was fully charged. The signal strength went up over 20% and that made connecting them much easier.
If Meh gets more of these in stock again at the same price, I will buy 6 more as gifts. They are worth the amounts that they are going for on other sites and Best Buy is selling them for $150 each. This was a great deal.
