For those that want to do a little prepping before the next impactful event, the Ecoflow Delta 2 at $459 is about the lowest price I’ve seen without needing any coupons. You’d need to add a decent sized solar panel to get through a multiday outage, but it is lightweight, quiet and fast to deploy for short term use.
There are other decent deals, but obviously it depends on what you’re looking for at the time. I ordered a combo jump starter / air compressor so far, but I’ve only just started browsing.
I spent about 15 minutes scrolling past tons of stuff I didn’t need, and finally came to the conclusion that I was apparently not Amazon’s target customer anymore. No sadness is implied.
@werehatrack my prime membership is due this month and I’m debating on whether it is worth it for me. The only thing keeping me in the “considering it” camp is woot.
I dunno. I see a lot of things I wouldn’t mind having for 30% off (double the regular 15% off), plus the added 2% cash back… but at the cost of an annual subscription to Prime, I just don’t have that budget to contribute to the economy that regularly.
What’s the matter guys, you don’t want a discount on SWRST33L brand ear wax extractor from the internationally-respected manufacturing powerhouse Shenzhen Shi Jia Ze Jin Chu Kou Mao Yi You Xian Gong Si?
Or a PUIEAUST hot dog costume from our good friends at Jin Hua Shi Long Yan Wan Ju You Xian Gong Si?
What’s the etiquette for Amazon going so cheap on logistics that they repeatedly misdeliver? I’m not really happy to be a volunteer for Amazon scouting the neighborhood for packages or taking misdelivered stuff down the street. I don’t really feel the urge to subsidize Bezos donating my time because Amazon is to cheap to deliver reliably. Is there an approach to avoiding this with being an obnoxious neighbor?
You know what the worst part is, too? Despite the expectations, and despite you not knowing anyone who buys anything during these events, they’re still going to announce that it was the highest-grossing sale event they ever had and that it shattered all prior records (just like it happens every single time).
I’m buying for young ladies in their early 20s and TikTok has them convinced they need fancy skin care routines. Lots of those products are on sale, so I’m among the buyers this year.
I could swear they kick the price to make the sale look big. For instance- Hey dudes- I buy them for $29 on the regular on Amazon but now they are $80 marked down to $30-40. hard side eye
I had to purchase a few items for my company, and while most prices were ‘normal’, I did save a few bucks on keyboards and headsets that were needed. And when you are buying 5 of an item, it adds up.
So I ordered something a few hours ago that was supposed to be a Prime Day special 20% off. As soon as Prime Day ended the price went to 28% off. WTF?! Contacted customer service and cancelled the order. Sheesh.

They do a few good deals loss leaders to get people to pay attention and to get some press
But most of it’s just so so or less
And a lot of of the tip they put on sale is last year or something like that
They saved the good deals for Black Friday when they’re competing against the whole world and not just against their own fantasy discount
@blaineg Yeah…They think they’re slick.

I looked at a few items on the prime sale, then looked them up on Walmart website, almost identical sales prices

You can always check out camelcamelcamel.com to see if you are getting a deal or not
@ddcarman I wish I could give you more stars for this! I always use this for my Amazon purchases just in case.
