I just discovered that Game Stop has these things in stock, so of course I bought one. Anyone else? Anyone know someone with one? Anyone think I’m a total sucker? (Please don’t answer the last part.)
@sammydog01 I ended up buying one so I could play while driving. My kids are in the back seat catching everything, while I’m not. Most of the time, they are controlling the button anyway.
It’s a good way to grind out some XP and stardust with no effort.
grabs pokes and stops while driving you wouldnt usually get or see, its great for when walking around shopping or working (if you arent the paranoid type that wants to make sure every buzz isnt a rare pokemon by random chance) and i even use it when walking around playing to clear large cluster spawns faster without taking as much time or wasting a ton of balls on garbage (subjective to what you consider garbage). basically, yeh i think its worth 35 bucks if you arent too short on cash.
@omgjedis@bluebeatpete I took it car riding this morning. It hits things before the app does which is nice. Unfortunately every pokestop I tried was out of range. I also couldn’t catch any pokemon because I dumped all my red balls in favor of blue and yellow a while back. Now I’ll rebuild my red ball inventory and try it in the park so I can look at the trees instead of my phone. Thanks for the feedback.
I was excited for it and would have gladly paid the price for it last year around launch, but the game got stale much quicker than I anticipated and I uninstalled it after the Halloween “event” and some of the changes made around that time. I know they’ve since added more 'mons, but I haven’t seen enough to make me want to dive back in.
@Nuurgle I actually wouldn’t have used it last year because I NEEDED to look at my phone. Now I’m mostly walking eggs so maybe it will be useful. Plus that pikachu with the party hat is adorable.
I bought one but couldn’t get it to work with my old Android phone. However, I was given an iPhone 7 and I’ll see if I have better luck with that this weekend.
@emilyap I am using it with my iphone. So far just in the car because I have a cold and don’t feel like going outside but maybe at the park once it warms up. Let me know how you like it.
Do we neeeeeeed one? Niece and son pokemon go.
@mikibell Then you neeeeeed two.
@sammydog01 oh mannnnn…you are a bad influence!l
@mikibell not at all. My brother got one, it mostly sits unused. The app alone works fine.
