The zebras must be miniatures.
Ok, if it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. But make sure to include the bonus sprayer for me.

The movie reference is actually from that popular YouTube series, “I Wash Horsies.” Episode 3 had a real surprise when the horse turned out to be a pony!
It only took a massive class-action lawsuit to get Telebrands to actually make a version that (mostly) holds up to their claims.
Pros & Top Features
Ideal for Boating: It is designed specifically for marine use, featuring a white, scuff-free material that won’t mark up decks.
Easy Handling: Extremely lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it popular for cleaning decks, rigging tunnels, and tight spaces.
Expansion & Storage: It expands to full size when water is turned on and shrinks for compact storage.
Kink-Free: Users report it is highly resistant to kinking.
Cons & Common Complaints
Durability Concerns: While marketed as heavy-duty, some users have reported issues with leaking at the connectors or bursting under high pressure.
Mixed Longevity: Reviews are mixed on how long it lasts, with some users reporting it lasts only a few uses, while others find it holds up well with care.
Nozzle Issues: Some reviews note the included bonus nozzle is flimsy and breaks quickly.
My 100ft Amazon-brand expandable hose fully ruptured at the spigot connection point the first time I used it this year. I got five years out of it, which sounds good, but my usage is very light. I basically only used it to wash my vehicle a few times a year.
After looking around a bunch, I decided to try a 50ft Zero-G non-expandable woven hose. The outer covering seems to give much more protection, and I figure the inner tube will be more durable. It takes up about the same space as the previous hose and currently costs $5 more than this deal.
Worth noting: the 100ft expandable hose never got close to its claimed length. I never thought to measure it since it was long enough for my needs, but after laying the new one out, the old one probably got 60-65ft long with full pressure.
Don’t know about this one, but I’ve tried all kinds of compact and lightweight hoses over the years and not one has held up. Not one. The last time I returned one to that big orange store, they didn’t even offer an exchange. I asked why and they told me they were being returned by the dozens. I just don’t think the materials are there yet to create a durable hose that can shrink to a small size and is easy to handle.
I got the 25ft 2-pack a long time ago during a mehrathon I think. I’m on the 2nd one now, at first the only thing that went bad was the rubber sheath at the sprayer end (I’m assuming these were “new old stock” & probably weren’t stored gently), the rubber failed at those little perforated lines that let it flex easier & it broke, now it just slides up & down the hose lol.
The hose that failed sprung a leak at the water line connection end, but only after many months of being under constant pressure (I keep it plugged into a water line connected to an overflow pressure tank off my water heater) as well as occasionally having hot water back up into the hose lol. I wasn’t too surprised about the leak since it basically hangs there at full pressure, but it sort of revealed a weakness in a product that is made to expand & contract constantly: you probably don’t want to put added strain on the thing when it’s fully expanded. The 2nd one’s been going for many months, but I expect failure eventually.
It might also be possible to repair with a patch but due to the plainly nature of the material it’s hard for me to say what would or wouldn’t work, but I expect SOMEONE here would know if it’s a viable option. I never assessed the nature of the failure or whether it was catastrophic—that’s why I bought 2!

‘Marine’ specifically means a saltwater environment. I wonder how well this hose will hold up on an offshore sportfishing boat, for example.

Guess I should have pulled the trigger on that boat with an onboard garden. Darn.
