@lichme All of that sounds perfect except the sweeter and that I don’t know what an XL double double is. I’m hoping we’re talking about a quadruple shot of Maker’s 46, because Canada.
@MagnaVis Commonly heard at the mega coffee chain Tim Horton’s, a double double simply means coffee with 2 cream and 2 sugar. It’s widely popular, and I haven’t found anything here in the US that comes anywhere close to being as good for plain old coffee.
I don’t normally drink warm stuff. If I needed caffeine it would be a black Lipton tea with cream and lots of sugar. Otherwise a hot chocolate I suppose?
I tend to drink milk in the morning. Cold.
@RiotDemon I bring a large, insulated tumbler of milk in to work with me most mornings. This morning, that big tumbler of milk is sitting alone on our kitchen counter, slowly approaching room temperature…
I love cold milk. Many years ago, at the Minnesota State Fair, they had a milk stand stood up in what I remember as the middle of the grounds (probably wasn’t even close, but it felt that way to childhood version of me). We bought a single cup for a dollar, I think, and we were allowed to get unlimited refills of ice cold milk with our cup. Several of my friends threw up from drinking too much milk, and then still went back for more.
I fondly remember this day as one of the very best of my childhood.
Only in the winter, a fresh cup of hot cocoa. Marshmallows appreciated but optional. Mix is ok but needs to be doubled for the amount of water. Prefer home made. In summer I’ll just grab an ice cold coca cola.
I miss being able to drink a huge glass of cold whole milk (not that chalky 2% or skim stuff), but such is life and age…
When I was a kid, my mother would tend to leave partially drank diet Coke bottles in the car. After getting warm, she wouldn’t want them any more and I would drink them. I’m gonna say definitely NOT warm diet Coke.
I should mention that I wasn’t like really young. Probably junior high age. It’s not like my mother was letting small children drink warm diet soda all the time.
@medz I still leave warm soda or water in the car and still drink 'em. If they’re wet, they’re still good 'nuff for me 'til I get a new one. It always grossed my kids out tho. They (nor my mom) can still believe I’ll drink a hot bottle of water or coke.
Hot tea. At home, first choice is Mighty Leaf Tropical Green, straight up. I rarely add anything to tea at home. If I buy tea at a restaurant it’s Chai or Earl Grey with half and half and 3 Stevia 1 Equal. Aspertame is my favorite sweetener but talk about “picking your poison”, so I switched mostly to Stevia but throw in a little Equal to balance and round out the flavor.
Depends… Dr. Pepper, ice cold if I’m at work/going to work no matter how cold and rainy it is. Weekends - Bloody Mary with a hearty breakfast. Then back to bed till around noonish! C’est la vie…
I don’t do early. However, my warm drink of choice is coffee, breakfast blend, with splenda and some hazelnut cream.
Exception is when I’m in Canada, then it’s an XL double double.

@lichme If you haven’t found anything as good, you should try nothing. Nothing’s better than anything I have found.

@duodec I’m the opposite with hot chocolate mix - I use half of what is recommended, and sometimes I add some instant coffee.

2 cups coffee either black or a little sugar free vanilla syrup
and a large glass of ice water.
Warm drink?
Easy.
Warm Snapple.

Milk or Dr. Pepper. Both served cold, but I will drink Dr. Pepper warm if need be. I don’t use ice.
“Raining and dark” gets me going. I don’t need a warm drink. It’s sunny blue skies that get me down.
Room temp Pepsi max

Coffee
Coffee or tea generally. Hot or cold, though preferably iced.
I will drink water that was warm as recently as two hours ago, as long as it is now iced and/or refrigerated and is currently less than 35 °F
