@dvermilion@glarue right above you; you’re literally asking the only guy that said, “the puzzles are $7.00 each.” Are you two taking your wives’ pain meds again¿?
I do 1,000 piece jigsaws to wind down. I bought a couple of these (different pictures, same manufacture) when they came up a while back and they were just not much fun.
All the non-edge pieces are the same shape. The colors of the pieces are muted compared to the box, flattening what should be visible features into monotones.
I completed most of the two that I bought, but towards the end it was feeling more like a chore than a pleasure so I ended up abandoning them.
@JohnMorris yeah, came here to say this. They’re not good puzzles. I actually boxed mine up and put them away because we weren’t enjoying doing it and then it just sat our our table untouched for a couple weeks until we gave up.
@JohnMorris yep, we had the same problem, plus they are so thin (and aren’t fully separated) that pieces have literally torn apart when we tried to separate them.
@JohnMorris Thank you JohnMorris. I came here to say what you said so well. I had a similar experience. These puzzles aren’t any fun at all. More frustration than enjoyment.
The colors of the pieces are muted compared to the box, flattening what should be visible features into monotones.
It could be worse. I once bought a puzzle based on the photograph on the box. The puzzle pieces did not have a photograph but instead had a painting of what was in the photo. To date it is the only puzzle I have not finished.
Tuesday a black rotary dial phone BOGO is the offer. Wednesday an 8 track tape with Johnny Mathis and hits of the 70s will be up. (matchbook not included). Puzzles fit right in.
Well, y’all get a nice reprieve tonight, or won’t get a chance to enjoy my sad attempts at bad, and sad unprofessional humor. Why¿?¿ Well, because of my damned combination of OCD, and pure fn homegrown laziness I usually don’t ever finish what I start, especially when I take a piece apart & these are a bunch of pre-taken apart pieces; these puzzles wouldn’t stand a fn chance in Dante’s Inferno, so…
@glarue,I’m like, Devermilion & don’t see $7.00 each anywhere on any page! So, I gotta ask, "Watt Choo Talkin Bout, Willis?"…not trying to pile on you, I just really don’t see it,… just saying
I started on one of these today. I’m not impressed.
The pieces are all the same shape, the same size, and the colors are not as crisp as they are in the picture, so it’s hard to put together.
I do puzzles frequently, but I think I’ll just donate these and let someone else have the headache. lol
I like Dowdle puzzles. If anyone has some they want to get rid of, let me know.
@Tadlem43 Ditto. Pieces all the same shape makes it seem like these were manufactured by people who’ve never done puzzles before. Nice pictures, but lame design.
@Tadlem43 ugh. I ordered two of these last time, So went and opened one of the boxes after I read your comment, and indeed these are absolutely mediocre. I don’t think I’ll even want to start one the pieces are so flimsy.
Hard pass over here. The reviews are so meh, it would need to be an offer you literally “can’t” turn down for me to order. Like 5 for $20 or something.
Going by the reviews here, you’d think they weren’t selling, but they’ve sold over 3000. Guessing a bunch of people are clicking here from bradsdeals and buying without looking deeper?
I got these the last time, and while it wasn’t the best puzzle experience, my roommates and I did enjoy the challenge. Like others have said, all the pieces have the same approximate shape, so you have to rely on the image rather than the fit between pieces. Not as fun as your standard puzzle, but still a legitimate way to make one.
I ordered two puzzles, I started the first one of Central Park. I did the border and put it back in the box. I do puzzles frequently and the quality was terrible, I was so disappointed. The pieces smelled terrible and didn’t lock together like most puzzles. Do not order these puzzles unless you want junk, don’t waste your money. So disgusted with this purchase.
Seems that my 500 piece puzzle has 482 pieces. Going to count the pieces on the 1000 piece puzzle before spending a day putting it together. Has anyone got a good one of these?
I bought two of these puzzle and I regret it.
every piece of the puzzle is the same shape. There is NO variation. One can squeeze almost any piece into any spot. It’s nearly impossible to put them all together with any confidence.
We are having the same issue for our mountain retreat puzzle. Missing 3 pieces. There is no place for them to go. They all stay on a puzzle table. That is a whole lot of work to find out we can’t finish it. We have 3 others that had all. Save the least for last I guess

Who has patience for the satisfaction of completing puzzles? Everything has to be instant.
@hchavers, Again,… that’s what she said!!
Have you seen the bridge? Where’s that confounded bridge!
@mcemanuel Ah, Excuse me…
I am also puzzled, if the puzzles are $7.00 each, why is the cost for 2 is $15.00?
@glarue Where does it say they’re $7.00 each?

You couldn’t put together something more interesting?

They are quite thin card.

@JohnMorris I take the lazy option & just drink a beer to wind down in one of my Lazy-Boys!!
@JohnMorris thank you!

We bought these last time Meh had them and they’re still in the mail. I’m suspicious of these.
Mediocre reviews on Amazon, too. Meh, pass.

Given the reviews I’ve read here, seems a bit pricey for 1000-2000 small pieces of cardboard for my cats to chew, hide and/or lay on.
no cats no buy
Guess I should have come to read the reviews/comments before pulling the trigger. Oh well, I need some new puzzles.

Avoid this one, if you can.
