Peer pressure...
0So... @sportykev got some sweet FPV gear last week.
@DJMajickMan and @ruouttaurmind each grabbed a 3DR Solo, and @ruouttaurmind just ordered the Walkera Runner 250 FPV kit.
@garyhgaryh just received his shiny new P3P.
Uh... @fultonmartin... not pointing any fingers buddy... but... someone here isn't holding up their end... ;-)

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I also got my powertap P1 pedals and a garmin edge 1000!! (ok, not quad copter related)
ROFLMAO
I wish...I bought the Walkera (at $219); I've got the parts on order for theTWiT-150-under-250-gram build; I've got a replacement FC for my first CX-20 coming. And my MakerGear M2 was delivered yesterday. Oh, I'm spending!
@fultonmartin Did you replace the CX-20 FC with OEM, or did you go with one of the true APM Open Source options?
@ruouttaurmind I ordered a Micro HKPilot Mega from Hobby King--it's supposed to be an updated clone of the APM 2.6, with the idiosyncrasies ironed out. It'll be an adventure getting it integrated into the CX-20, sorting out the help available on various forums. (I'm not fully convinced, but it's possible all the weird stuff I saw with that quad is attributable to a flaky FC. It finally got to a point where it wouldn't initialize--just flashed its lights and beeped annoyingly.)
@fultonmartin I wonder if the CX-20 GPS module will plug into that? If so, the rest should be easy-peasy. ESC's should be plug-n-play, and the CX-20 RX is pretty vanilla. Oh, maybe the LED and LV buzzer control might be a challenge.
I ordered a APM 2.6 kit a few months ago. Arducopter 2.6 FC, Ublox M8N GPS, MinimOSD and MAVLink transceivers, planning to resurrect a crashed Walkera QR X350 Pro, so I'll appreciate reading about your APM 2.6 experience.
@fultonmartin Hey, didn't you wind up ordering a second CX-20 back when Banggood had them in the USA warehouse for $200? How did that one work out for you?
@ruouttaurmind I did, along with a 3D gimbal and retractable gear. I've flown it once, on a windy day, and it was...ok. If I had a car, I'd like to pack up a bunch of my UAVs and head out to some open space to fly them, where I don't have to worry about crashing into trees, or my neighbors' yards. As is, I'm barely sure the GPS / magnetometer is holding, much less able to get any kind of interesting video.
@ruouttaurmind As for the rebuild of the first one--I picked up a mantra a few years ago that applies to a lot of my projects: "In my copious free time..." And I'm retired! But when I get around to it, I'll share.
Count me in for the Runner 250 as well... Peer pressure's a bitch.
@djslack Welcome aboard, Slack! That's funny, because I wasn't even pointing the peer pressure at you, but you got some on ya as you were passing through. :-)
@ruouttaurmind @djslack residual pressure
@djslack Peer pressure got me in last night, but I backed out today after thinking how often I've been flying my P1, ZMR250, new P3, and the multiple Cheerson CX-10s I have. :(
