@Carebear Don’t know what you mean by "rustle-y). Anyway, they are what I would call “normal”. Wouldn’t call them soft nor hard – sort of in the middle. They do not make any sounds when moving in them so not crunchy. They are wrinkled all the time but I don’t care about that. My T-shirts are wrinkled too but I’m not going to iron them either.
I’m not as concerned about them being organic but I do like them being cotton. It’s just my opinion but once you get over 300 or 400 in thread count, there’s really no difference. Too many people are concerned about thread count in sheets and higher counts don’t seem to feel any better to me.
The grey is really more grey than is depicted in the photo. Meh shows it more as a brown but it’s definitely a real grey. I posted a photo in the previous sale. You can see the photos here:
I used to date this chick when I was still living in the Midwest who kept synths (those critters synthetic fibers come from?). I never had much compassion for their plight until I got to see a run (that’s the collective noun) of nylons stalk & then, almost as though they’d rehearsed it as a unit, take down a couple velours. Talk about majestic!
Not until I’d seen the wonder of a walmart of spandexes (spandi?) suddenly scent the air & dash away from the threat of a couple polyesters from the local lounge, or watched a mighty nomex placidly shrugging off the noonday sun, the sound of a locker-room of rayons, startled by a neoprene bursting from the water, taking wing in the distance, did I realize just how fragile our planet is.
Got these last time. Deep enough for a deep mattress w/ memory foam pad. Not super excited about how they laundered, though. SUPER wrinkly the first time and not that soft. Not a terrible deal. They’ll do. Just not my go-to bedding set.
I first bought two sets, I liked them so I bought two more on another deal site, same price. Love them. They have elastic all the way around the bottom fitted sheet. We have sleep number beds, which are a little deeper and they fit no problem. I still don’t know the thread count, but I’m not one that likes the Egyptian cotton which are over 350 as the sheets are bulkier and don’t fit in my top loader as well. We wash sheets hot and the elastic has held up, but iDK for how much longer. Doesn’t matter, they’ll still hold the way they are sewed. The white, which are a tad off white, turns white when washed in hot water. At any rate, for the price, I like them.
