@ruouttaurmind Basic setup still looks nice. I've got plenty of SD cards. Don't know about the props if they're easy to come by but still...follow with crash avoidance is nice.
@ruouttaurmind i was considering the pro setup. like i said, i've got xmas cash burning a hole in my pocket. sure, i could just it for things like groceries and diapers and toys for the kid, but where's the fun in that??
Are there 3 CW props and only 1 CCW on it in that picture?
It has some neat features, but after getting burned by zano I think I've decided to wait until it's proven to both exist and not be a POS before spending on it.
Seriously considering this. I don't understand the Vr headset? The faq says it's used for playback?! Wondering if I could adapt to my p1 for FPV ala cheap fat shark
I've got one on order but there are only 7 days to left to pre purchase one of the awesome little drones/quadcopters at there reduced kickstarter price. If you want the link to their kickstarter/indiegogo website click below, check out the specs (some of which are crazy (like having a Sony 15MP 1080p 30fps camera) and purchase one. All their goals have been reached with over 10,000 backers putting in over 2.2 million USD in backing. Get in before they run out.
Excuse me but how was my post spam. I'm ordering one, I'm letting other people know about it. And i think being rewarded for being a preorder customer should be acknowledged, not shut down...
@john1990 affilliate links, hidden rewards or other connections to a product/link are something you should openly acknowledge and disclose in your comment/post. If it is openly acknowledged, it stands a better chance of not being seen as spam. This distinction is part of the forum rules, which you can find at https://mediocre.com/forum/topics/our-forum-rules-no-bullshit They are a bit open to interpretation by employees and volunteer moderators (like me) so I'll clarify that transparency is key here. If you post something that rewards you - be up front about it.
@john1990 With due respect, your reward for being a preorder customer is in whatever IGG campaign tier you chose to participate. Early delivery, freebees with your order, lower pricing, etc.
I don't blame you for wanting to suck a little more meat off the bone with an affiliate effort. But as the moderator indicated, its a fine line between marketing and 'spreading the word to get a better deal'.
Being transparent with your intention is important. Something like "hey guys, I'll get an extra ten bucks off if you use this link to place your order! Help a brother out!" would be received better than a veiled marketing message.
This is an information forum, and if it starts to fill up with a bunch of spam it will become too difficult to filter out the useful stuff.
@john1990 I responded to your first comment - with the question and opinion - with the pertinent information. I don't mind answering questions or debating the merits of a choice to edit/delete something you find to be valid content. Throwing shade makes me much less likely to be helpful.
I received my Onagofly, I have crashed it a bunch of times, down to my last set of props with no response from onagofly.com as to when and where I can get new ones. It is wobbly in flight, takes forever to lock onto the GPS signals, twitchy on the controls and crappy video due to the small size and associated wobbling. I guess I got spoiled because I currently fly a DJI Naza M V-2 controlled quadcopter and hexacopters with gimbals. I thought the small size and therefore convenience was worth the risk of buying from a start up company. Now I would reconsider if I had to do it over again. It is a nice looking quad, well made, with the exception being the cheap props, and battery connection compartment being a pain every time you want to fly you need to open it to connect the batteries, and then try to cram the wires and connectors into an impossibly small space, requiring tweezers to get them out, since you are not supposed to leave them connected when not in use or during the charge. I have not been able to get the follow me function to work, and the object avoidance is useless since it has to be within inches of something to be able to sense it, which means you will already be crashing into that object.
@donwjaco thanks for the update. i never ended up getting one. and based on a lot of comments i see on their facebook and campaign page, and now your report, i'm glad. sorry you had to take a hit for the team. any chance future software updates might resolve some of the problems?
@donwjaco At least you got one. I got burned on Zano so I decided any drone like this would be worth the extra cash to wait until it exists and fulfills its promises. I hope they work to get it right for you.
@djslack Agreed. I've read about too many crowdfunding-gone-bad stories. Tech stuff and Kickstarter or IGG (or whatever funding source) campaigns don't seem to have a high percentage of success.
Didn't you have some issues with a 3D printer on IGG or Kickstarter or something?
@ruouttaurmind Just got my Vufine kickstarter project. It's great. Can't wait to test it with the Solo. Works fine so far with my MacBook pro and my iPhone.
@ruouttaurmind I hope it does. First I have to buy a micro HDMI to micro HDMI cable as the cable that came with it is standard HDMI to micro. Or I need to buy a standard to micro adapter. Or I can stick with viewing what's on the iPhone screen via the cables I have.
@DJMajickMan Viewing the iPhone screen might be nice. You'll have all the telem data at the top of the display, and see all the options for the smart shots, etc. IIRC, the HDMI-out on the controller is video signal only.
@carl669, I looked at the Indiegogo campaign for this over the weekend. $200 for the basic setup.

@carl669 Meh... the kid can get a job and pay for their own diapers! ;-)
@DJMajickMan Agreed, the crash avoidance and follow mode is a nice addition.
@ruouttaurmind i tell him that every day and he never listens.

The comments on YouTube are great. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HhzQ_Y-uh5k&ebc=ANyPxKr316EJd3ZRQVTPH_NPNs45zOkEEgoH1OTm3_qlgeoe3QnaR5EljXu1O5FCiEFi_QY6J4Shx7aR8pP7hlxr4oJzy9PD0g
@sportykev Even Charpu commented on it. LOL. And if you don't know who Charpu is click on his name and watch some of his spectacular FPV flights.
Only 9 days left.
Get it NOW!

@Tommie @john1990 referral links? for shame you two, for shame.
@carl669, let's see if we can conjure up @Thumperchick to clean up those two spam posts.
@ruouttaurmind @carl669 thanks for the head's up. I left the comments so that their names stick around, in case they make the spammy posts a habit.
@Thumperchick thanks! i would have invoked you, but i wasn't sure if you had power over here. forgive my doubt.
@carl669 my unlimited minor powers extend everywhere*!
(*everywhere meaning all mediocre site forums, so far.)
@carl669 Oh ye of low faith! Thou shalt never doubt the power of @Thumperchick!

@donwjaco Thanks for the feedback. The marketing turned me off, felt very fake.
