@lichme not all of us got one in a fuku. I have a ninja from when ninja were only just becoming popular (before they became insanely priced)… Still works fantastic today. Best blender ever had.
I have a slightly dumber version of this thing. I bought it 3 years ago, still works great. obliterates ice into snowcone powder, can handle frozen fruit, and makes mashed potatoes easily. very good way to spend $100
@boygenius1991-Really? I can see playing around with the fruit, but converting ice cubes into ice dust, or making mashed taters outta potatoes, I just can’t see the money saving, time saving benefit,… I mean you can buy a big box of insta,…well, never mind. I guess your way of mistreating Ice Tea, I mean Cube {My Main Man} & pototatertots IS more fun!!
@boygenius1991- there are several ways to deal with the problem you hypothetically have. One, don’t make snow cones. Two, buy a bag of snow cone ice. Three, buy a different Brand, not this Ninja contraption, Four, get someone who has this Device & get them to make you some cone ice. Or, Five, since I never hinted not to buy one, as I said it may be fun, then you could purchase this before 12 EST!! Nevertheless, you already knew this since you’re the boy genius! Just Do It! <Yea, and that’s what she said!!> Just Do It!!
@decoratedwarvet while I would never try and make mashed potatoes in a blender that’s not nearly as gross as you suggestion to buy bulk instant “potatoes”. Kinda want to puke especially considering how easy they are to make. Boil. Mash.
@wmbarr- They had to discontinue the Warrenty bullshit, or start selling a bunch of returned crap that don’t work!! Take your pick; you can’t have both, geez!!
@cengland0 Correction: registered trademark techno mumbo jumbo marketing BS, along with half a dozen other nonsense terms that meet the apparently low bar for such an esteemed honor. Haha, “Pro Extractor Blades®”!
@mommacomet I inherited one and it really beats the pants off my previous traditional blender. That said, the Ninja coffee bar (at least, in its current iteration) is terrible. There’s a problem with a gasket on the water reservoir that makes it unusable a couple months down the road, even with consistent cleaning.
@rprussell Just the brand/maker. Ninja is really good at looking at standard appliances in a new way and I appreciate that, I just wish the coffee bar was implemented as well as the blender.
It’s a good deal, considering the cheapest I’ve seen is $120 during prime day and they typically go for $150. If I didn’t already have a Vitamix and a Breville food processor, I would buy this.
If my current ninja food processor and smoothie blender weren’t still kicking ass on a more/less daily basis, I’d be totally in for this (also bought refurbished via meh).
anybody want to buy my current food processor and smoothie cups so I can upgrade to this with the full pitcher?
Can anyone comment on the food processor function specifically?
Is this a blender first that also food processes, or can the processor replace a dedicated food processor? Ours died and looking to replace. The blender would just be a bonus, but won’t get a lot of use.
@Yjbrody The food processor bowl can absolutely process food. The only compromise I’ve noticed is that it does not have a food spout, so you can’t add food while it’s mixing (likely a problem if you make your own nut butters). It also doesn’t come with a shredder plate like many dedicated food processors do, but I already had an attachment for a different kitchen appliance to do that particular task.
@masterhibb So is there a shredder plate you can buy that fits in the food processor that they supply? Or if you want to shred things do you need to buy the “Auto-Spiralizer”?
@benjaMEHn I don’t know what Ninja offers, but I wouldn’t think you could add a shredder plate to this food processor; Without the food spout, I can’t imagine how you would feed the food through the shredder.
@masterhibb Thanks, those are both helpful. The shredder plate we could get by without, but the lack of being able to add ingredients while it’s going is probably a deal breaker.

Ninja see it coming
These were free last week in the birthday fukos.
@lichme not all of us got one in a fuku. I have a ninja from when ninja were only just becoming popular (before they became insanely priced)… Still works fantastic today. Best blender ever had.
@lichme wish I had gotten one free all they kept sending me was food savers and Martian watches — aw well they were still free

@boygenius1991 We have one almost like this one also. It’s worked perfectly for years!
@boygenius1991 same here, my ninja blender keeps on going.
@boygenius1991 It looks like this one is only 1200 watts as opposed to the 1500 watt ones the older models had ( at least mine).
@decoratedwarvet I don’t understand. how do you make snow cones? this means you don’t have to buy a separate, dedicated snow cone maker.
Not a 90 mediocre warranty? That’s new.
@wmbarr yes… it’s new, not a refurb like normal
@wmbarr- They had to discontinue the Warrenty bullshit, or start selling a bunch of returned crap that don’t work!! Take your pick; you can’t have both, geez!!
Ninja blender, meh … I prefer to prep my smoothies Fruit Ninja style.

“Auto iQ” just techno mumbo jumbo marketing BS.
@cengland0 Correction: registered trademark techno mumbo jumbo marketing BS, along with half a dozen other nonsense terms that meet the apparently low bar for such an esteemed honor. Haha, “Pro Extractor Blades®”!
@cengland0- That’s what she said!!
Thought Intelli-sense was going to be programming-related…
Also, I’m not positive, but I believe a Nutri Ninja Cup is what is traditionally worn to protect a ninja’s dangling fruit
@nolrak- It’s not his fruit; it’s his Johnson!
A blender today
Ninety-nine dollars you say?
no blender today
@AllIceNoChill-that’s what she say?
@AllIceNoChill
Meh so very… meh
Blender haiku FTW -
Keep up the good work!
I got nuthin’
@alacrity- That’s What She Said! Really, I’m just saying,…
I can replace two appliances with this! Two! Yaaaaay!
I will stick with my Katana and Ninjato.
I think somebody (@alacrity) is swooning
I have a similar Ninja that I have had fora few years and love it. It makes great frozen drinks!
@LinnE What is the relationship between this blender and the coffee bar?
@rprussell Just the brand/maker. Ninja is really good at looking at standard appliances in a new way and I appreciate that, I just wish the coffee bar was implemented as well as the blender.
@LinnE @mommacomet I’ve had the Coffee Bar for ~3 years now with no issues, using it every day.
@jawsch @mommacomet It seems like some people have had no problems and I salute them. Then there’s my crowd.
It’s a good deal, considering the cheapest I’ve seen is $120 during prime day and they typically go for $150. If I didn’t already have a Vitamix and a Breville food processor, I would buy this.
No ninja. Vitamix!
@rustyh3 no vitamix. Ninja!
Sounds like a unitasker…

What the actual fuck - is that raw chicken?
“Here Susan prepares her world-famous bleu cheese and chicken tartare - rubbed with a turtle and served with sun-dried mayonnaise!”
Now this is a deal I can get behind, fuck yeah!! Too bad I had to get a new car recently and I can only afford ramen. Juiced ramen sounds awful.
@tcorco87 Likely you could juice ramen with a fork if you over cook it a tad. Problem solved. You are welcome.
If my current ninja food processor and smoothie blender weren’t still kicking ass on a more/less daily basis, I’d be totally in for this (also bought refurbished via meh).
anybody want to buy my current food processor and smoothie cups so I can upgrade to this with the full pitcher?
If I didn’t already own a Ninja, I would buy this. They are awesome blenders.
Can anyone comment on the food processor function specifically?

@Yjbrody Here’s what I found on the Ninja site for the food processor accessory:
https://www.ninjakitchen.com/parts/0/all/1305/ninja-professional-prep-system/?pa=true&modelNumber=CT680W
I bought the one on here, and i’m going to buy the attachment - and i’m STILL paying less than any other website for all of this. MEH!
My blender sucks and I needed a food processor anyway. 2 birds one meh purchase.
/giphy glorious-fatty-narwhal
First off - guessed it right! Woot! (I mean Meh!)
And 2 - love my Ninja set, this is an excellent deal
/giphy incredulous-daring-barnacle
What’s your name?
Who’s your daddy?
Does he blend like me?
If you used this to blend up some Doritos…would the result be…

Just bought another for a birthday gift

@muzztime that’s really creepy
I barely use the Ninja I have now but I love it so much. It’s a status symbol that I like to brag about
