It used to say "nice job" after that stat but does not anymore. I used to feel great but now I feel like I'm doing a terrible job when I don't buy this crap :(
@corey umm perhaps that was the point to remove it - see what happens and now we know it creates guilt induced buying? Also remember we are all guineapigs in the @snapster grand buying/marketing experiments...
@ItalianScallion Did you know that folks are starting to kill themselves 'cause they’re using chatGPT and similar “AI”? It’s really amazing what using “AI” does.
@ItalianScallion
You know, over at the pre-Reddit forums (and Reddit today), we have users who create straw identities and just argue in public. A passer-by who didn’t have administrator access to see the two people were coming from the same household, would think this wasn’t a performance and actually try to join one side of the “protest”. Once enough people populate both sides, the original puppets are put away and the owner stays to marvel at their work.
One or two of these were interviewed years after their pranks and they did it because they felt the threads they were on were too boring and predictable and wanted credit for bringing entertainment to the masses.
This is what I feel like AI (and AI-made anti-AI) discussions have become.
Ah, projection. I didn’t know bots could do that. I guess you got an emotion chip from Lore. I hope you don’t feel too hurt that you still haven’t been able to win them back.
@pakopako I hope you don’t think that I’m arguing with DrunkCat. I certainly think of it as just having fun. If fellow Mehtizens think it’s heading down the path of the political arguing we had a while back, I’ll just ignore DrunkCat from now on.
“Old News”: “at least half a dozen cases in the last year”
“Well-Publicized News” = “fake news”: Hmmm… seems like the “@DrunkCat " “AI” bot has been using a certain person’s speeches and ramblings for its training.
" ‘AI’ tech bros”: sure are plenty of them!
Anyway… this is getting to be an argument instead of fun, so I’ll leave it to the bot to entertain itself.
It feels like they don’t have a message, it’s an account made for the purpose of engagement.
Alright, they often say “this sucks”. Everyone can say something sucks. They don’t even bother with “because it’s people” or give alternatives or anything to dissuade users to not buy-in, just “this sucks”.
Which becomes just one opinion in a sea of them rather than an active stand or soapbox speech.
PS. Whoever your UI designer is amazing and I love them.
I miss it too. I guess this is why we can't have meh things.

Just like dating....it's been a year. Enough with the pleasantries.
Amazing! Thank for sharing
I smell a bot.
@werehatrack …that joined us 12 hours ago. Maybe we can put it together with the “@DrunkCat” “AI” bot and let them have their own conversation.
@DrunkCat @ItalianScallion @werehatrack
But what’s the end game?

“@DrunkCat” Old news. You need to do a reload.
@ItalianScallion Glad to see the quotes really do hurt you so.

@DrunkCat Like I said: old news. Terrible and tragic and well-publicized news.
@ItalianScallion
“Old News”: Lawsuit filed 2 Days Ago
“Well-Publicized News”: Despite at least half a dozen cases in the last year it’s “fake news”.
“AI” Tech bros everyone.

@ItalianScallion not entirely.

@pakopako I agree. I’m thinking “Do not feed the troll.”
