@lilpaox Yeah, I like them but I actually have noticed that the non ratcheting end keeps slipping open (the side you cut to adjust.) It turns out if you tighten them down too much it pulls too hard on that side and it pops open. There is even a mention of not tightening too much in some of the docs. No big deal I just cut it a little further back. But I was wishing I had given myself a little more room now because a couple more trims and the belt won’t fit.

@Kerig3 Marky Marky did it and could pull it off - but no way can this wannabe come close. We use to love this fad when I was in law enforcement - you didn’t even have to chase them. After they ran five feet their pants would go down to their ankles (like the first clip of the man with the shotgun) and you would just have to walk over, handcuff them, pick 'em up, and stick them in the cruiser. Code 76 stood for mentally unstable so we came up with C76a - dumb ass. I think the boy - wanting desperately to be a man - in your picture would fall under C76a.

(this is not wise.) some time went on and i was in the kitchen making a drink when the aforementioned man appeared, crawling into the room on all fours wearing no shirt or belt. in fact, he was being beaten with his own belt. after this, she tired of him and told him to leave. and he crawled down the stairs from our second floor apartment and out into the street, shirtless and beltless at her command.
some time later, i heard a soft knock at the door. i opened it to find the man, at about waist level.
“may i please have my belt back? i really need it.” he asked, meekly.

These suck. The end that you cut off and clamp into the buckle clamp thing starts to pull out of the clamp. I tried thickening it up with pieces of duct tape to tighten up the clamp grip and it didn’t hold.
@Skotyman - I had that problem with a couple of these belts - turned out that as I cut the flat end, the scissors turned and the cut wound up being at an angle. Once I trimmed it to more-or-less straight across the buckle gripped it fine.
Having said that, I have trouble with the tip end on one, I think it’s the Newport, the back end of the leather catches on the buckle so you can’t pull it out.
I’ve bought a lot of junk on meh but I actually use the Nexbelts I bought when they sold the two pack just about every day and I’m pretty happy with them.
I’m wearing an Americana that I ordered the last time around. It’s beyond horrible. Don’t get me wrong - it looks great (one of my coworkers said “I think my son has that same belt”) but the leather tab on the belt actually does NOT fit through the buckle! It’s a one-way-door or belt-putting-on in the morning and when I want to do something too indelicate to talk about on the meh forums, I need to shimmy out of my pants.
I’m sure glad you aren’t offering that other buckle this time around. In for 3.
Tacky colors aside, these are really good belts. Price is great too. Just picked up another cuz the buckles are interchangeable & I really don’t like the oval - 1/2 oval buckles. Hope that Meh picks up other discontinued styles from these guys in the future.

I bought these last time, and I’m HIGHLY disappointed with them. I think they are engineered poorly. Mine keep loosening, especially when I sit down. Seems anything touching the release lever (including my fat gut) will release the belt so it loosens. If they keep the same mechanism, then they need a stronger spring for the pawl that catches the belt. BIG waste of money, I’m pissed I spent the $14.00. Be warned.
Got me last time. Have had zero issues with the ratchet side. The buckle itself, however, keeps coming off the side it should be attached to. It’s only held in place by some metal teeth and so by pushing it in a little the door flips up and the buckle comes off. I trimmed the belt to get a tighter fit and that helped a bit.

@ozob Each leg of the pants is a called a pant. A pair of pants consists of two legs/pants. So, a 1 qty x 1 pair of pants = 1 pair of pants, but 2 pants sewn together into 1 item.
Same for scissors; each half of the scissors is a scissor. The two scissors are connected in the middle at the pivot point. A pair of scissors is 1 item consisting of two parts. Pair of shoes = 2 shoes. Pair of pears = 2 pears.

oddly when i read “the fabulous pants strap” instead of ever thinking of a belt, i instead thought of stirrup pants. it was always terrible when you got a new pair of really cool leggings (then just called “spandex” but they had the dreaded stirrups on the bottom. not fabulous at all, really.

@jml326 They use a special belt buckle due to how they connect, so not really compatible with any 3rd party belt buckles.

Bought them last time they were on here. I am not a fan. If you lean against something, it loosens your belt.
Got the Cedar belt. Figured I can at least cook salmon on it when it doesn’t work.
