@werehatrack Seriously. I’ve never once had a “rain shower” shower head and had any usable pressure from it, even after removing the restrictor plate. Gimme that pressure washer they use to wash the elephants at the circus in that episode of Seinfeld that Kramer buys.
@dahobbs9 A while ago we did out bathroom and was going to put in a rain shower and a normal one that had dual heads one being attached to a hose.
This system is non existent if you want all 3 to be on at one time. (The diverters from the major brands.) So the solution was to put two controls. The bonus is that I can have the water be different temperature.
Why am I telling you this? It was impossible to find just a rain shower head. You know, the 12 x 12 square, etc. They all were sold as kits with the diverter/control/whatever. I couldn’t just buy the head. Alas, I have a 7inch round one that works just fine–everyone who has one was right, you only use it occasionally–so I am not in the market anymore.
My point is the market for a stand-alone “rain” shower head was strange, and seeing a product that failed in that area on meh makes sense to me.
@phendrick My wife’s younger brother married an Indian woman. Her (well-to-do) family put on an extravagant wedding and reception. Man, those folks know how to party!
I installed a fixed head shower with a diverter to a second handheld capable (but larger) head in my 4x5-foot two person walk in shower in the master bath. That head sits in a wall mount normally. This allows both SWMBO and myself to be in the shower at the same time and have the water pressures that we prefer. As an added bonus when hers is on the rain shower setting her water comes out a couple of degrees cooler than mine, which is ideal since she prefers her water temps that way.

@chienfou We have something similar in our master bath - two-person dedicated shower (tub is separate) with two separate shower heads and controls. Wife’s side has a rain shower type head, mine has a multi-spray-option shower head with an auxillary hand-held spray (which I bought on meh ).
Oh, and we have an 80-gallon water heater for those extended showers .

@macromeh @phendrick
Yeah, it’s a multi day event!
@chienfou @phendrick Yeah, I kind of had to chuckle when I saw my (South Dakota farm boy) BIL dressed in silk robes and a turban.
@macromeh @phendrick

@zippyus Huh, that’s kind of clever. Maybe you should look into producing those … and then they can eventually end up here on Meh!
@Kyeh possibly better than my grand plan for silver 20 sided die Cybertruck nuts.
@zippyus Those sound pretty brilliant too!
@Kyeh @zippyus The door is open. They only have R2-D2 in firefighting mode and Darth Vader crying for Padme …
@cfg83 @zippyus The Darth Vader one is pretty funny. The Death Star looks better than either of those, though.

Oops… ended up being a second post instead of an edit. Sorry about that

“Uber for haircuts” is something we need! Especially if it was a mobile unit, all fitted with the equipment inside a van or something!
@Kyeh Sounds like a Flowbee … to me.
@Kyeh I’ve seen a mobile barbershop in a kitted out Sprinter type truck.
@zippyus I think it’s a great idea, especially for people who have trouble getting around.
