New word needed in English Language for meh.com
2I'm daily anti-impressed at the offerings on this site.
This new word needs to be invented that can convey how nonplussedly-anti-impressed I am.
You might be quick to retort:
"Dear unixrab...the site is mediocre! cry 'meh¡' and sleep"
Ah...but! "mediocre" does NOT stay mediocre if it gets progressively more mediocre yet un-not bad. see? You can't have mediocre and more-mediocre without one transforming into either ok (former) or bad (later) once the more-er mediocre thing appears.
(Note: I'm not "not impressed" - because I am "be-amusedly -anti-impressed" at how bad the products have been...but in a not-non-negative-bizzaro "anti" way.)
To expound; "bemused" doesn't convey the simmering un-disdain (compounded daily) when each crappy shoddy useless, non-un-shocking, dis-un-interesting product is revealed.
Similarly - I'm not repulsed, else I'd stop visiting the site...
The new word(s) needs to express non-un-interest yet (like looking at a train-wreck or an automobile accident, but not for the gore) the "interest" is because it's so horribly bad that one thinks "it can't be any more mediocre (hence the word) tomorrow" - and yet... everyday so far...it HAS been worse. "
Underwhelmed" has become popular, but it doesn't fit either, because I am certainly OVER-whelmed but negatively. In one sense, I want it to stop ...to see a good product at a good price ... but in another sense, I wonder how long the ridiculously bad [useless?] product streak can go on? I'm looking for the "pro-antithesis" of impressed - not the opposite. I'm not shocked (it's not that big of a deal), "bemused" is too laid back - I'm genuinely [for-now] anti-impressed at the suckyness of the products.
Any suggestions?

Sorry : TL;DR
@ceagee You missed out on a plethora of thesaurus knowledge and double and triple negatives.
@ceagee Yes this was by design to weed out non-contributors
@ceagee tl;dr he fingered his dog
Likelessness
@shubydoo hmmmm interesting!
DR;BH (Did read, brain hurts)
My new, made-up internet slang for this post.
@pitamuffin can... can this be a thing, please?
@cj0e Absolutely! I hereby give my permission for this to be a new internet thing. Now go forth and use it.
Damn it...I just KNOW I'm gonna be blamed for this...
@studerc TL;DR and YEP it's all your fault!!
@studerc and rightfully so!
This might be the best blue hazed pot infused meh post to date. Congratulations.
@marklog don't I wish.
I vote for increasingly-whelmed
@tightwad ooooo like!
@tightwad I vote for simply, "whelmed," which really makes no sense if you know the actual meaning of that word.
The first thing I do when I "log on" to the Internet is check out sites I disdain too! Are we brothers?
@editorkid I "login" but, that aside - definitely some form of cousin (if I read Genesis correctly).
@JonT I am honored and humbled at rendering you speechless. Not my goal, but a definite bonus.
Meh..
perturbed or disquieted seem to be close to what your describing. If not one of those, then may i suggest insane?
@viciousterra both of those imply some sort of negative - I'm not perturbed... it's not annoying... it's mesmerizing how stunningly horrible the parade of products has been... statistically, a good product should have mistakenly been offered, but meh.com (against all the odds) outdoes themselves by the ever-increasingly useless products they've offered. Similarly - (while being completely sane) I'm not disquieted... I've lost no sleep, or peace of mind by watching the aforementioned parade, to the contrary - I'm [ insert new English word ]!
@katylava ah! I thought of that! It's unfortunately already taken and means "* to turn upside down usually to cover something : cover or engulf completely with usually disastrous effect*" OR "*to overcome in thought or feeling *" Need a new one.... meh'd? mehed? (if we do coin this new word... it can't have any prefixes like "over" or "under" - it just cannot.
@unixrab Nah, "whelmed" works fine. We just need to give it a new meaning.
@Eris "whelmed" seems to lack the hypnotically-kinda-bad-(in a good way)mezmerization (yet not distressing) that comes with watching the litany of ever-more-horrible(wrong word) products... see??!
@unixrab: Blasé + Apathetic = Blapathetic
@KDemo Nice! Blasé. I hadn't considered that one. "unimpressed or indifferent to something because one has experienced or seen it so often before" hmmm. I've never seen (or experienced) a website that offers goods for sale that suck so badly at their product offerings. I've not been so much as tempted to purchase any of the products yet, but still I come (almost [according to my meh face calendar]) nightly, just to see if they keep this blapathetic streak going... hmm. Perhaps, over time the word "meh" will slowly absorb some of the amazing suck that this website is foisting upon us...when that happens in the collective consciousness of all of us, the prefix (meh-) could come to represent not just apathy or underwhelment ...and we can use it as a prefix to mean "the ability to suck at something so badly as to instill the inability to ignore it....? And then we'd get: Mehpathetic? Thoughts?
@unixrab - I have made several purchases here, therefore I am less easily blapathized than you. Perhaps I'll become more discriminating and can join you in your meh ennui (mehnnui?) in the future.
@KDemo oooo.. You are a wordsmith! "mehnnui" that's slick. And, You bring up an important point that needs to be considered in this word-coinage: My lack of purchase (thus far) is just MY reason to pooh-pooh meh.com and their shoddy offerings, it's NOT the only reason... we could probably start a never-ending thread called "The mehnnui reasons that meh.com is mehpathetic" !! I mean... from speaker docks to their crappy VMP $monthly rip-off scam (thank goodness I've avoided that thus far) to their cephalopodian leader - not to mention @johnt 's Harpo Marx .gif routine. There's plenty of reasons to coin this term, even if you've purchased some of their self-described 'crap.' We need an all-inclusive term... just to describe the sad, yet pathetically interesting business practices
@unixrab What brings you back every day since the product selection clearly isn't the draw? I like the community and the products.
@dashcloud ... hope (against hope.)
and .......... my buddy: @snapster :-/
"Oh, Brett, what am I going to do? I know, I'll think about this tomorrow."
