New packaging scourge
8Recently when I opened a package I found something unexpected: inverted bubblewrap (all the fun's been popped out of it already).
See below for front & back shots:
Not fun at all to play with. I'm hoping this isn't the start of an (unwelcome) trend.

Is it just me or do those front and back shots look eerily similar...
@heli0s The camera doesn't really do a good job there- one side is a hollowed out bubble and the other side is the back of the bubble, deflated.
@dashcloud So they're like really short condoms?
@hallmike There's so many, it's more like condominiums.
@hallmike @2many2no I love y'all
@2many2no WINNER!
Well, it saves on air. Because air, you know, is expensive. That's why all of those shoes with "Air" in the title cost twice as much.
@rockblossom and tablets
@MrMark and hockey tables.
@rockblossom and hair. http://www.conair.com/
I got a thing from Amazon a few days ago all 'cushioned' by those (non-Texas) air bags... that they didn't bother to fill with air.
I don't get it.
K, I just reread this.
Think I hurt myself laughing.
Thrilled that one of my topics made the daily topic list on an item.
@dashcloud - Suprised it didn't qualify six months ago. The whole thing is really funny.
@dashcloud @KDemo Wait, I never thought about this before - are those employee-curated?
@brhfl - I've wondered that as well. I was guessing it goes by the number of views, but it would be interesting to find out.
@brhfl @KDemo They're not. I believe it's based on number of new comments or number of stars for that day, @shawn can confirm.
@JonT @brhfl @KDemo we keep changing what's promoted to the homepage when we think of new ways to highlight topics. Currently we grab the 7 most recent topics that aren't a deal, poll, or video and then we try to replace as many as possible with topics that have been given stars in the current day.
I made a gist if you'd like to peek at the code: https://gist.github.com/freshlogic/358072623d0ead85e5c8
@shawn @JonT Very cool, thanks!
