New feature idea...
4Would it be cool to have a 25 cent slot machine that would allow people to change the product? In short, charge a quarter (or buck) for a spin. Use a low enough percentage to make it valuable for Meh pockets, but fun for us to change the product. What do you think fellow Mehricans?

Yes…or perhaps a set amount for each item that has to be crowd-funded before the item is skipped. For example, if a $6 item with a duration of 1 hour gets a crowd-funded total of $50, it will be skipped. Meh makes a free $50 and we get on to the next item The skipped item could be sold on a morningsave leftovers deal to prevent people from whining that they didn’t get a chance to buy. People could “donate” whatever amount they like to help reach the skip threshold.
Oh yeah… think this thru… as X is about to click Just Buy It Already, Y spins the wheel and X ends up with something completely different (what I’d implement, because I have a mean streak, though I’d also let people pay to buy item swap-out insurance) or else X is told item is sold out.
Either way, someone who was happy (X) is likely going to be pissed off, while someone who wasn’t happy (Y) is likely to remain unhappy. Consider also that Y may like the new item even less than the prior item.
The total price tag for the wheel spin needs to be much higher, with people contributing some amount, say $1, $2 or $3 (user picks) and the wheel only spins if enough money is collected, say something along the lines of $300-$500* with a reasonable chance, say one in five, that the item will not actually change from what it was. If the user buys any item that day, they get a credit of what they contributed to the wheel spin.
*Or make it a function of the current item’s cost multiplied by the number of items meh has, reduced by some factor. Or something else to make it worth meh’s time and effort since there is a decent amount of logistics required to time deals, etc.
@baqui63 Love it. Has the domain screwmefaster.com already been taken?
@mehcuda67 Apparently not and some lucky winner could get it for only $12 (at least from Google… might be able to get better pricing elsewhere and I’m sure you could get much worse pricing if you want it… for example, I might be able to get it for you for $49.99 if you want).
Or…and stay with me here…just make ALL of the items they have for sale available at the same time. Revolutionary! Nobody has to wait around all day watching for an item they might like. People could buy multiple items at once to save on shipping. Maybe add a search feature and categories…yeah… yeah… It might just work.
@medz
@snapster is planning to sell the site to Amazon already?
@medz you’re mocking me aren’t you?
@kykazaa no. I think your ideas are great.
