"Find a relevant price comparison? Please share it in this thread :)" I paid $10 more from a silly website that only sold them for 24 hours. But that was way back on July 23rd 2014.
I thought you were fucking with us with the blue and green models. Then I put the pictures side by side and realized you were serious. They're practically identical, but not quite.
Robot vacuums are the new speaker docks.
"Ain't nobody wants robot vacuums" doesn't have the same ring though.
@orangearrows@orangearrows It comes in a plain brown box. Box contained the neato, the "dock", power cord, a second brush, and a barrier strip that can be used to prevent the neato from going somewhere.
@Dankk Hell yes. My experience is that these things are so freakin sweet that I just bought one for my upstairs and one for my parent's house! BEST ROBOT EVER!!!
@Dankk We've had one for a couple years now (same model, not a refurb though) and I'm seriously considering buying a second one today. The little thing works great, it can get stuck but most of the time it be fine and after you learn where that happens and adjust things or block it from going in that won't happen anymore either. The vacuum in it is pretty powerful, it picks up a lot and I don't think a normal upright vac would pick up much more than it does.
I got one when it came up on Meh a few weeks ago, it is freaking awesome. I wasn't expecting much, but it works great. Given that it was a refurb it had scuff marks all over it, not that I mind as it is just a vacuum. The filter and brushes appeared to be brand new.
@jnads@orangearrows It comes in a plain brown box. Box contained the neato, the "dock", power cord, a second brush, and a barrier strip that can be used to prevent the neato from going somewhere.
Bought it last time around; it arrived in the brown box but looking brand new and definitely new brushes. Since then, I've also repaired my Roomba 550. The Neato blows the roomba away. I now have it restricted to the bedroom, where my cat likes to hang out and shed. It is working like a champ while the Roomba handles the rest of the apartment.
Also... still no robovac knife fights. I keep hoping.
Absolutely indispensable ...have had one for four + years and would never be without one ever again. Their customer service is the best. Be very sure to empty the dirt bin after each use. You will likely be shocked what this baby picks up. Pick up toys, and be sure it has an unobstructed path.....it cleans my 1564 sq ft house three times a week.......totally amazing . No hesitation, highly recommend.
@silveropal3 yes the XV-21 is the Pet & Allergy model with improved brush and filter. Good review here for placing this model amongst others http://www.cnet.com/products/neato-xv-21/ (see paragraph about brush / filter kit for the XV-11 / XV-12 to upgrade it to what this one defaults with)
We have an old English sheepdog....need I say more.. You must empty the dirt bin after each cleaning and clean the filter. I use a small portable hand vac for that 10 sec procedure. Just like a regular vacuum cleaner it will not pick up toys, books, plates etc. a five minute pick up and neato will do the rest. Always a clean house.....but you must do your part on the prep side. Trust me it works and for this price they are giving them away....
Bought one last time and two more today! These things DESTROY those crappy Roombas! It cleans my hardwood, carpet, and slate tile 1st floor with ease - about 1400sq ft. The bin does fill up but honestly I have a dog, pine needles, crap from outside, and I never use my Dyson anymore thanks to my little robot friend.
The menus are awesome and scheduling is titty sprinkles!
If you are even thinking about this just get it! Not too noisy and cleans really well because it actually has a working vacuum! This thing literally sucks!
My regret last time was that I didn't buy two because I hate moving it upstairs. Yep. So I bought another for my upstairs and another for my parents because they saw mine and wanted one!
We got one last time. I was worried about: Table and chairs - it does not get stuck - it gets in there even if it reverse and forward 1 inch to get in every spot. Rugs - We have a rug on carpet and I was worried that would be an issue, it was not. All our rugs are bound. Tile to Carpet without a threshold. No problem. Uneven floor because of tile and grout. No issue. Registry vents on tile - It makes a bit of noise, and may even change direction slightly but it knows and makes directional changes.
It is a bit slower then I thought. It does a much better job than I thought it would, no pet hair is left behind, my thought was this could work every day and once a week we could vacuum with a real vacuum. I honestly do not think we used the 'real vacuum' since we got it. The filter does not tap clean (typical for a vacuum filter). Battery life is over 1/2 hour, it returns to the charging station and when changed continues where it left off. It needs a bit of room for the charging station if you want it to return to it. If you pick it up and put it down it will not return to the charging station when finished. It will return to the spot you put it down. I watched it find a cable, it got stuck, backed up and changed direction slightly avoiding the cable. I was impressed.
Also bought one last time. We have a Siberian Husky and German shepherd Husky mix. "Rosie" does very well at keeping our floors and carpets clean. We run here daily or everyother day to keep up with the hair so our kids don't get covered.
Impressed so far with how she doesn't fall down stairs like I do.
Is it just me or is my house so small (1400 sf) that I can't imagine how this would save much time? It takes me, maybe, 5-10 min max to vacuum the entire 3 bedroom house.
@Kidsandliz Our house is 1500 sf and this thing works wonderfully. We picked it up last time they were on the site and it works much better than I thought it would. We haven't used our regular vacuum cleaner since, so that would be about 20 days without vacuuming, and I don't think we will need to anytime soon. We have two labs and it keeps up with them shedding their hair. It runs when we're at work, so all we do is just make sure we have a clean floor before we leave in the morning, but it still avoids mostly anything you leave laying around. It probably doesn't save that much time, but it is nice coming home to a clean floor every day.
@Simeon3D - from everything I've read, it's better than a roomba. The mapping technology is far superior. Been waiting for a good deal on one of these for a while.
@cruzinstephie It is far superior. We picked it up last time the deal was on and were extremely impressed. The dogs didn't have an issue with it either... in fact they are completely oblivious to it, which can suck when they keep moving about the room and keep running into them, and then vacuuming around them.
I bought the Neato XV-21 Pet & Allergy model just about 2 years ago (for $300!) on some other crappy daily deal site that was started like 10 years ago.
The XV models are way better than the Roombas. The algorithms are better so the battery lasts longer. And the square front really does a better job getting into corners.
My only complaint with today's deal is the blade brush. The combo brush with fibers does a better job on carpet - but you can buy one of those pretty cheaply.
Important note: Make sure they thing is always docked. Ours got kicked and never made it back to the base and the battery drained. After that, it wasn't able to hold a charge very well. The batteries aren't very expensive, but it still sucks.
@snekse That's pretty much the saddest story ever if you imagine it from the Neato's point of view: "I... I was just doing my job, trying to please the humans, making the floor look nice when one of them... KICKED me. I am now off course, too weak to return home... I feel my energy draining... won't make it back... it's all going dark... what did I do... I'm so sorry..."
@snekse I think it does come with the combo brush doesn't it? See the specs: What’s in the box!? Neato XV Robot Vacuum Charging Base Charge Cord Combo Brush High-Performance Filter (1) Blade Brush Boundary Markers (2m) Battery "Hello Neato" Instructions (instructions and warranty info)
holy molly meh...It Comes in Purple !!! We would have been sucked in for one if we had not bought your Purple Dyson Animal.... wow does that Dyson ever Suck....
When I got mine I set it up here at work so I could have help setting up the “titty sprinkle” scheduling, and learn how to use it. So we did set it up here and watched him go. Others fell in love with him too!!!! He was all over the office cleaning. So, now that it is back I told the office, and guess what????? I was asked to get one for my coworker. And Another said” What is that site?” So I am earning my toooo small MEH T-Shirt. And BTW It works great when you learn what trips him up and set him up for success. I am thrilled to come home and check the dirt bin to see what he collected today! However my dog is terrified of him and hides under the bed! I use the boundary strips to make that safe haven for him. When they are in the same room together Asher (dogs name) can’t decide if he wants to attack or hide so bark growl and back out of the room is the solution.
@silverqueen I have read that pets feel better about a robot if they see you discipline them. Then they learn that the robot is not the favorite pet. When Asher is around, remove a boundary strip so that the robot will go where it isn't allowed to go. Then when you catch it breaking the rules, yell at it, or however you discipline Asher, and "firmly" put it back in its dock. The off switch will help make sure that the robot shows respect. Restore the boundary strip, so the robot isn't bad. Repeat the performance when Asher seems jealous.
I'm in for one, my Woot roomba died years ago, and the performance vs new battery cost just wasn't there. This costs a bit more than a new roomba battery, so why not!
Now, for those that have had these for years, how long should I expect the battery to last?
In for 2. 2 story townhome style place. Not sure if will just try to use one on each floor, or deal with moving one around and giving one to the adult children or the parents or something for holidays. (bought 2 sets of yesterday's speaker for holiday gifts.. why not get started early)
@Starblind i'm pretty sure i'd still have to carry it up. On the other hand, I could build a dumbwaiter to the upstairs, and place it's dock in the dumbwaiter.
@BillLehecka I'm pretty surprised that Meh sold so much today. As for a million dollar day, I bet it will take a while, but I could see it happening during the Christmas shopping season this year
@danevanz Unless you checked that you wanted an email when you ordered, you will not receive a purchase email. Also, Meh does not send order shipped emails. However, if you go to the purchase page and scroll down to the very bottom, you will see My Orders. Click on it and you will see purchase and shipping info for all of your orders.
@danevanz Yeah, what they said: go to meh.com/orders and tracking info will be there. And yes, they've at least started shipping- the one I ordered arrived this morning
@danevanz I live ~5 hours from where MEH ships from. I hate the Fedex - USPS relationship. I don't blame MEH, for $5 I'm not complaining about shipping. I just hate that its going to take a full week to ship something 5 hours down the road. Why does it take 2 full days for Fed Ex to hand the package to USPS? Grrrrr
Did anyone's color choice change on their order status page? I went to check on the shipping status. It's still in placed status, but the color went from Black/Grey to White/Purple. A little worried I'm getting a color I did not order...
Edit: I just noticed the price went down from $145 shipped to $120 shipped. Maybe they ran out of black and are giving out a discount to compensate?
@andjuan just got an email, you and I are one of the 110 that shoulda had black but they screwed up inventory. we get nintendo color and 25 bucks back, unless you reply to the email and they will cancel. at $120 I'll take it
Got my two today! Set it up and the moment the charger went green, we launched it. In my rather complex townhome, it managed our entire dining room, foyer, office, and secondary bathroom. It decided that our Kitchen was slightly too steep to enter (it has about a half-inch lip), and of course it didn't try the two steps (lol) to the living area.
It got stuck while scanning four times, once because it's wheels came off the ground after it tried to climb a surge protector (which is now pushed against the wall, i didn't expect it to at all manage to get under all my office furniture!!!!), once it had a "stuck brush" (clearing some debris from it got that), once it got stuck in a place where a sliding door had slid closed on it, and the last time it got stuck, the cat had cornered it in the bathroom and refused to move out of it's way.
Other than missing the kitchen, I am totally impressed. If there's any more left, I definitely want to get one for the kids that have moved out, and one for my stepmom for the holidays. (so i want 3 more of them) :-)
Also, it started whining about low battery as it tried to return to it's base, so I had to put it back. That made me sad, I wanted to see it return. But it had become too confused by the cat cornering it, and it burned the remainder of it's battery figuring out where it was after that.
Next, is to let it charge up again (we did only let it charge for about an hour or so the first time, so that was kinda dumb) and see if it can figure out the upstairs! :D
Sigh. I got unlucky with my robit (Zoidbergism). Right out of the box when it came on the LED is illuminated but no text. 6 hours later of charging same deal. Now it just turns off. Called Neato support and getting a replacement. Robit overlord will have to wait.
I've been playing with mine for a few days now and it does a great job when it's working- I am now keenly aware of how much hair I shed on a daily basis as I keep having to unwind it from the brush- but it does seem to get lost quite a bit going back to its base and gets stuck on invisible obstacles from time to time which is, apparently, a common problem. It also seems to favor certain parts of the house going over them several times while completely ignoring other areas. I love how well it does the areas it does vacuum, though, so hopefully I can get these other problems worked out with Neato.
So mine finally arrived today (although its ETA was in two days). It's still charging, but I thought I'd mention that earlier reports of the plastic(s) being scratched or otherwise damaged scared me a bit. However, mine arrived and had they sold it to me as new, I can't say I would have ever thought anything about it (other than the brown box perhaps).
I may be singing a different tune if something doesn't work after the battery is charged, but for now, I'm thrilled with its condition.
@bakerzdosen mine looks damn near brand new, if it didn't have a "refurbished" sticker on it, and the two white pieces of tape that you're only supposed to remove if you're a service person broken, i'd never know the difference. at least on the first one. haven't opened the second one. Also works great, until we got it to vacuum the kid's room, which gave me an absolute nightmare with having to have hair pulled out of it every 10 minutes. Tip: There's two orange caps on the sides of the roller brush. If it constantly complains "Brush stuck", there may be large rolls of hair stuck under those caps.
@eblade my only complaints thus far are: The bin fills up too quickly as I've got it cleaning a relatively new wool rug (duh...). I've had to clean out the bin about a dozen times (and clean the hair off the brush once - man my wife's hair is strong) for one room. But things honestly look great now.
And it tends to leave stuff around the edges of rugs when transitioning from wood floor to area rug.
Got mine on Tuesday. Let it charge for 24 hours and its DOA. No matter what I do I get the "My Brush is stuck" message. Called Neato support and then are sending out a new one. Bummer!
@lbockelman mine decided today to start spitting that out no matter what i did. i discovered that the two orange caps on the ends of the brush come off, and there was an absolutely immense amount of hair crapped up in those. cleared them out, and it's all good again.
Mine doesn't seem to charge. The light just blinks amber amber green, amber amber green. Take it off the charger after 12 hours and the battery indicator suggests it held zero charge.
BTW, for those of you who are getting a replacement for your bad robot, Neato support will want the invoice/order email sent in as a fax or email. Since meh.com doesn't have either, I confirmed with meh.com support that doing a screenshot of the web page order for the Neato and attaching that to the email should be sufficient.
@durango99 Was on hold with Neato for over 30 minutes before I got a live rep. She has me checking things before issuing an RMA... so I expect another 30 minute hold tomorrow when I call back to say it didn't fix it.
@Mindflux Ouch. I called and got a person within 5 minutes. Went through a scripted process of unplugging the battery for 2-5 minutes and trying the robot afterwards. For my problem, the LCD text still didn't show. So immediately got confirmation for a replacement after that. I called at 7PM CST
@durango99 I called at 8:20 Central, which is 6:20AM PST. They open at 5:30AM PST. I could not have imagined it being so busy that 'early' for them... but low and behold my wait was far too long.
Got mine yesterday. Works great. Cleaned my whole apartment and returned to base. Amazing. This thing will wedge itself anywhere it can (or cant) fit. It came looking new, and it's already all scuffed up from one cleaning. It squeezed itself under my entertainment center, scraping the lid of the lidar unit. Never got stuck, and it's all superficial scuffs. It bumps into stuff about as much as I do when I vacuum, and looks the part. I like it. I got the white/purple, which is probably worst for scuffs. I imagine a magic eraser would clean the whole thing right up.
I wonder it I have a bad one. This thing is so much worse than my Roomba experiences. It constantly complains about clearing its path even when there is nothing in the way. It didn't even manage to do much in the way of cleaning on its first charge. I watched it attempt to climb a few walls. Also failed to return the charging dock. Sigh.
@caffeine_dude@snapster yeah, I am out of town this weekend but when I get back I'm going to do the bedroom test on it then call. There's gotta be something wrong with it.
@Alien88 Agree. We have several Roombas. Did a full 24 hour charge. This seemed awesome for 5 minutes. Then battery was dead, and it said "Something is blocking my way!" Sigh.
@jeriveraf I called support and their fix was quite straightforward. They had me use a Qtip to spin the turret left and right a few times and clean inside the sensor holes. After that it worked like a charm. It is quite impressive to see the Neato clean a 2000 sqft house. It automatically cleans each room and moves over to the next. Whenever it runs out of power it goes back to the base, charges itself, and returns to clean right where it left off.
Mine was broken when it arrived. Charged it, sent it out on it's maiden voyage and it said "my vision is blocked. Please press Okay (4000)." I called and spoke with the support line. Very helpful, but there is no fix for my error. Apparently (4000) means it can't see anything with it's lasers.
Also, the top of my unit has a significant amount of scratches, I'm assuming from pets or low furniture.
Either way they are sending me another unit. She gave me the time frame of 7-10 business days.
@yeonsukim@nathank@ethanP this person has an order problem. Might want to tell them to alert you if they are posting with problems. Try contacting (yes spelled with an a in halp) halp@meh.com
@EthanP Maybe put some Korean on the main meh page (a notice at the top in Korean telling people to look at the bottom of the page and have a duplicate set of links labeled in korean) so that people know where to go for help rather than randomly post in threads. Might also tell them on the main page if they are posting in threads where they need the attention of meh to put @ you and nathan so that they can catch your attention.

@neves710 weird. I didn't see that in the directions. I placed it on the charger overnight and ran it this morning but it only went for like 5min and ran out of juice. I will trouble shoot it when I get home.
@dongyan111 I did not have to plug in any batteries, but there is an On/Off switch inside the dustbin area that needs to be in the On position for it to charge.
@eblade I think some are different. The one I got does not have the on/off switch and did require plugging in the second battery. Customer service had me reset it as a new battery and that helped my charging issues.
@carrerascott after being on the charger for about 24 hours and selecting "new battery" in the options mine seems to be working fine. It ran for about 45 minutes last night before going back to its base.
@dongyan111 weird, step 1 of mine showed plugging in the 2nd battery. I guess they are all different. Mine cleaned my downstairs and still had juice. So it appears to be running fine.
@carrerascott Also now I constantly get "Something is in my way!". I guess we know now why Roomba is the king in this genre. We have Roombas that run for hours on a charge, and have been for years.
My nintendo-themed neato finally arrived today! Was wondering if it was gonna give me problems given the chatter above. Happy to say this little gal (named her Amber due to her glowing light upon arrival, We call her 'pulsing amber when she's bad...) is a total rock star! Charged right up and went to work immediately. Very impressed with the amount of crap that ended up in the dustbin, especially since the dyson had just worked the floor a few days prior. Given the discount I received on the color mix-up (thanks meh!), this is one of the best purchases of the year. MEH!!!
Just got mine and it doesn't work, its broken. Very disappointed in how long I had to wait for a broken product, In talks with Neato but nothing about a replacement yet, frustrating.
@nikki At first it would only move backwards and only with the right wheel so it would go around in circles backwards saying its cleaning. Now it comes off the dock and just sits there saying its cleaning and one wheel sometimes spins. Occasionally it goes straight then stops and thinks its moving. I have yet to gotten it to work. After proving it to Neato with video and my receipt, they are sending me a new one. Im not happy as when i was reasearching my problem it seems pretty common
Mine arrived yesterday. After 12 hours battery charge, I tried to use it today. There was a problem - it only showed a message "place me on the floor" and couldn't do anything. Customer service told us to reset it by pressing the "power" button. Now it works. I will let it vacuum tonight and see the effect :) BTW, customer service said the refurbished Neato only has 3 months warranty.
These idiots didn't have the black one I ordered, then they didn't have the blue one they were going to replace it with. Now apparently they're going to send a Nintendo one. We'll see if they have any of those or are just jerking me around.
@stupidrobot Yeah, looks like they are jerking you around. Why don't you threaten to sue them? No, better yet, threaten to steal the training wheels from their bicycle. That'll teach 'em not to mess with you.

Just a heads up, a new software revision came out last week. You need to register your device on MyNeato to upgrade/install. It apparently improves battery management. My Meh refurb was able to update, apparently some older revisions cant get the upgrade.
Mine stopped working all of a sudden last night. Not sure if the battery is just dead, or the charging station stopped working or what. Hopefully it has a warranty and that's not much of a pain to get it replaced.
I ordered three Xv-21 and 1 was initial failure product. But I should get neato's repair service?? It was MEH garentee, isn't? I thought when I buy REFURED items from MEH, there is MEH garentee for initial failure so I would get exchange service or refund that. But MEH replied go to the service center. I Cannot understand this situation.
@kuku This vacuum is under a 90 day warranty from Neato (listed in specs above). Just find the right number or email at http://www.neatorobotics.com/contact-us/ They are very helpful and easy to work with
@Kleineleh@kuku Mine failed on me already as well. I contacted Neato and they troubleshot the issue over the phone and decided that it was a defective unit. The crappy part is I had to pay almost $30 for them to send me a new one. Mehhhhhhh!!
Any one ever had the message "My Right Wheel is stuck"? The robot I purchased in this round sucked up some fringe on a throw rug and after clearing the brushes it is saying that error message. Is there a way to tell what is wrong with it? I wrote to Neato but haven't gotten an answer.
@silverqueen I've gotten that before. It's always been when there's a bunch of thread or hair wrapped around the brush that got wound around the wheel as well. If you've already cleaned the brush, I suggest checking up next to the wheel and see if there's anything there you might have missed.
Mine is now giving me a battery error 0002 and asks to be restarted constantly. I guess the battery failed already, and it's out of warranty. It showed that it was fully charged, but as soon as it would start vacuuming it would just suddenly die. How...mediocre.
Hello, it is me again. Bought in Sept. 4th. In Oct. had issue 0002 I was told to unsrew and replug battery in. I did both sides and could see the one on the right really had to be pushed down to engage loose connection. Has worked till last week. Now I leave my Philips out and have done this at least 4 times to get rid of the battery issue 0002. The new thing over this week is having to reset the time. I love my neeto and give it lots of TLC but it has become a continual maintenance problem and I think it is on it's last breath? What do I do? Peggy
@PeggyKaune I'd assume that it's a battery issue. In other words, one of your two battery banks might be dead and need to be replaced. Mine did that for a while until I called support. MENU->Support->New Battery. Then charged the neato 100%. Had it run, but unplugged the base station to let it die out completely (It will say low battery). Then, plug in charger and let it charge up to 100%. Repeat these steps 2-3 times. This got rid of all my time problems and short run times.
I think since I've had problems a month after I got it and ongoing intermittent and now timer issues they should fix it. I'd be afraid I'd buy a battery and it might have a problem that caused it to be refurbished in the first place. I sure loved it the month it didn't give me problems. tired of 0002 and no time. : ( Thanks for your advice though.
Love mine! three dogs and it picks up hair great. I use it everyday and do a full vacuum once a week. So much easier them vacuuming everyday. No problems yet
Oh meh really screwed me on this one
This thing never worked right since I had it and oh meh wanted nothing to do with it would not let me return it even with warranty

@khunjeff my sentiments exactly
@vertexoflife and yet i just bought one anyway. DAMMIT
nobody wants this.
in before record sales
@peas $200k banked. seems like a lot. I don't know how much they usually make though...
@peterdraws That's a lot. Way more than an average day.
@studerc Well, this is totally your fault so I don't know why you're complaining.
@PurplePawprints **sits in the corner after working for like 2 minutes to find a decent gif that referenced the word "suck"
Obligatory "this sucks" comment.
@jsh139
@studerc Damn you @studerc, you beat me by a few seconds!
Loving that 'early 90s video game console' chic. Perfectly enhanced by the background picked out by the staff.
"Find a relevant price comparison? Please share it in this thread :)"
I paid $10 more from a silly website that only sold them for 24 hours. But that was way back on July 23rd 2014.
My dogs think everything is a toy. This thing would be dead inside of a day.
@Thumperchick I dunno, I have seven dogs including a completely insane, reactive cattle dog and our Roomba has never come under fire.
@djkittn Mine like to tackle things that move.
I stayed up until midnight for this? Mehhhhhhhhh
You call that blue?
I thought you were fucking with us with the blue and green models. Then I put the pictures side by side and realized you were serious. They're practically identical, but not quite.
Robot vacuums are the new speaker docks.

Sweet! In for one before the wife says no. Whats Mehs return policy in case I get kicked out of the house and no longer have a use for this?
@Bogie You can't return it, but you could resell it elsewhere.
@Bogie bring it with you and you can crash on our couch.
@Bogie...you could also blame me. Will not really help with the situation, it'll just make you feel a little less shitty about it.
Is this black in color? The manufacturers specs link as well as the comparison link shows WHITE colored models.
@orangearrows you have a choice of five colors as shown in the pics, you'll choose during checkout.
@orangearrows several colors are available.
super meh
Come in Original box or is this re-packaged? Anyone know? Meh me back if you know
@orangearrows @orangearrows It comes in a plain brown box. Box contained the neato, the "dock", power cord, a second brush, and a barrier strip that can be used to prevent the neato from going somewhere.
Product Dimensions: 5.5 x 21.3 x 15.2 inches ; 21.6 pounds
Shipping Weight: 16.4 pounds
@peterkim7 wait, the shipping weight is less than the weight of the unit? do you have to reconstitute it with water upon receipt?
intro. movie
Any buyers from last time who want to share their experience?
@Froggy Did yours come in the original box or a generic brown box?
@jnads Mine came in a brown box. Also, my neato is awesome :D
@jnads @orangearrows It comes in a plain brown box. Box contained the neato, the "dock", power cord, a second brush, and a barrier strip that can be used to prevent the neato from going somewhere.
흠 이거 평이 안좋은거같은데 안좋나..가격대는 쓸만한데
그런데 이건 한국으로 직배송도 가능한가요?
배대지 거쳐서 와야 하나요?
@dofqja 배대지 거쳐야 해요.
Is this woot? Must've clicked something else, I'll be back...maybe.
왜케 평이 안좋아
Absolutely indispensable ...have had one for four + years and would never be without one ever again. Their customer service is the best. Be very sure to empty the dirt bin after each use. You will likely be shocked what this baby picks up. Pick up toys, and be sure it has an unobstructed path.....it cleans my 1564 sq ft house three times a week.......totally amazing . No hesitation, highly recommend.
About how much hair can this hold? I just bought this for shedding season for my lab/retriever/pit mix.
Also, this is the Pet & Allergen one right? I know it doesn't say it in the title but it says it in the description.
@silveropal3 yes the XV-21 is the Pet & Allergy model with improved brush and filter. Good review here for placing this model amongst others http://www.cnet.com/products/neato-xv-21/ (see paragraph about brush / filter kit for the XV-11 / XV-12 to upgrade it to what this one defaults with)
What's next Meh wine?
Secretly I am just building a robot army ...
@LFoD "Titty sprinkles" is going to be my default phrase for describing good scheduling from now on.
We got one last time.
I was worried about:
Table and chairs - it does not get stuck - it gets in there even if it reverse and forward 1 inch to get in every spot.
Hmm, trying to decide if I want this or not, considering I live in a 1/1 apartment and picked up the day 1 Roomba.
Leaning towards not for now.
Good thing I read the description before buying.... based on appearance I thought this was a 1990s video game console.
Living in a tiny room already that only takes 4-5 minutes, tops, for an overly thurough vaccum cleaning
Not for me, meh.
Obviously, it is @studerc's fault that this thread makes me want this vacuum more instead of less like I'd hoped
In for 2. OH god what did I just do?
If it's close to a roomba at this price ($140) why not try it.. My wife wanted a $400+ roomba so hopefully this will work for her. We have two dogs.

200 BRAND NEW with filters
@xweargroup 1) That's the XV-12, not the XV-21 we're selling. 2) Nice partner link ;)
@JonT
another order.
Wow, $92K in sales so far. What's the record?
@darksaber99999 That is the record. The previous high was the 2-for Kindle Fires, at just over 69K.
@Starblind Reaction of the Mediocre staff:
@Starblind
@Starblind That's hilarious!!!
@JonT Now I want a Neato that sings "Daisy, Daisy" when it's almost out of power.
@snekse Mine came with a combro brush and a blade brush in the box as an extra.
holy molly meh...It Comes in Purple !!!
And Another said” What is that site?”
So I am earning my toooo small MEH T-Shirt.
@hamjudo I feel like you're making this up, but it's totally believable and the thought of disciplining a robot vacuum makes me laugh.
@JonT http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB121314664909963011?mod=googlenews_wsj&mg=reno64-wsj&url=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB121314664909963011.html%3Fmod%3Dgooglenews_wsj
@JonT If robots don't make us laugh, how will they become our overlords?
I'm in for one, my Woot roomba died years ago, and the performance vs new battery cost just wasn't there. This costs a bit more than a new roomba battery, so why not!
Now, for those that have had these for years, how long should I expect the battery to last?
In for 2. 2 story townhome style place. Not sure if will just try to use one on each floor, or deal with moving one around and giving one to the adult children or the parents or something for holidays. (bought 2 sets of yesterday's speaker for holiday gifts.. why not get started early)
@eblade You could buy a flat sled and glue carpet to the top, then put it at the top of the stars. Now the Neato can just slide down!
@Starblind i'm pretty sure i'd still have to carry it up. On the other hand, I could build a dumbwaiter to the upstairs, and place it's dock in the dumbwaiter.
@eblade If you can teach it how to operate the dumbwaiter with its lasers, you're all set. And in league with the robots.
I bought it! Now I await my new robot overlord and bane to my dogs existence.
@Brockheezy I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
Bought it on July 23rd sale. It gives plenty of "Brush is stuck" messages. Even though we don't have any pet. But me and my wife are not bald as well.
@himanshuy It's ok as long as she's bald in the "important" spots. Back, chest, etc.
Bought it. I look forward to welcoming my robot overlord into my home.
Oh my look what landed in my inbox today… very timely. Now Dyson has a robot vac…
http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-09-04/the-360-eye-dysons-roomba-killer?campaign_id=DN090414
@Kidsandliz http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-29055181
@khunjeff That article said, "Up until this point robot vacuums have been objects of geek affection"…. geeks? I think lazy people. LOL
@Kidsandliz let's just agree on "lazy geeks"
do you ship the Neato XV-21 Vacuum brown box in another box? anyone know?
We need this soldier for our robot army: http://www.ecovacs.com/features/Winbot-Winbot%207%20Series.html
@khunjeff umm I don't know. I'd settle for a robot that does all the housework, yard work, wash the car, clean the cat dirtbox...
In for one. Almost bought the XV-12 from Newegg for the same price, so glad I waited.
When do you guys think Meh will have their first million dollar sale day? Today over $200k in revenue. Impressive.
@BillLehecka I'm pretty surprised that Meh sold so much today. As for a million dollar day, I bet it will take a while, but I could see it happening during the Christmas shopping season this year
Has anyone's shipped yet? I haven't received a purchase email yet. I'm too used to amazon shipping.
@danevanz I got an email "your meh.com order of: Neato XV-21 Vacuum (Refurbished)" on Thursday at 2:05 AM but nothing since then...
@Kleineleh Thanks for the link. Dang. Mine shipped, but no delivery until 9/11.
@Skitals To be fair, I'm in Carrollton right now so it probably could have made it here by itself if they'd let it try
@danevanz ah thanks everyone. i dod not select to recieve an email so i eas worried something went wrong. its all good. its shipped. thanks again.
@danevanz My order still says placed. It has not shipped yet.
Grrrrr
Mine also says 'placed'. No worries though. Confident it'll arrive eventually. Right guys?
@bettynugs My status is also "placed."
@andjuan Yep... Just checked and mine also changed to white/purple, with the price also dropping.
@andjuan just got an email, you and I are one of the 110 that shoulda had black but they screwed up inventory. we get nintendo color and 25 bucks back, unless you reply to the email and they will cancel. at $120 I'll take it
@andjuan Got the $25 instead of a black robot. I'm pretty happy with that. If it bugs me, I can paint the damn thing.
@andjuan Yeah, I got the same email. I wouldn't want the white/purple but the $25 makes it a keeper.
Glad y'all are alright with our solution. Sharpies available upon request.
@JonT Agreed. Bring it!
@andjuan Apparently I'm getting a Blue/?? one and $25 refunded. Works for me. @JonT I'd love a sharpie, but only if it comes with a joke.
Meh !! so what is your shipping schedule for purple color?
@sunshinko I'd like to know too!
@sunshinko Yep, where is my robot? Purchase 'Rad' , Shipping 'Meh'
@bakerzdosen our second one is working great too. :-) figured i'd better try it once i discovered the warranty was only 90 days...
SAD PANDA.
Sigh.
@Alien88 sounds like it might be blind? try out their support contact and see if they can narrow it down. We're here if they suck.
@Alien88 @jeriveraf Please post what you had to do to resolve the issue. I have the Neato and I would like to hear what the experts say for this issue.
@caffeine_dude @snapster yeah, I am out of town this weekend but when I get back I'm going to do the bedroom test on it then call. There's gotta be something wrong with it.
@Alien88 Agree. We have several Roombas. Did a full 24 hour charge. This seemed awesome for 5 minutes. Then battery was dead, and it said "Something is blocking my way!" Sigh.
Is anyone else's order (subject to the 'color swap') still showing as 'placed'?
@bettynugs shipped sep. 10 and will arrive on next monday (CA)
@sunshinko Sweet. Thanks for the update! Can't wait to test it out.
@bettynugs mine shipped today, shows I should have it Tuesday!
Mine was also bad. It ran for about 20 minutes then started complaining giving the error "My vision is blocked. Please press OKAY (3000)"
@jeriveraf Please post what you had to do to resolve the issue. I have the Neato and I would like to hear what the experts say for this issue.
@danevanz sorry for the bad luck - appreciate the report back for all to benefit from.
@danevanz You might try jeriveraf's suggestion above yours?

@EthanP Maybe put some Korean on the main meh page (a notice at the top in Korean telling people to look at the bottom of the page and have a duplicate set of links labeled in korean) so that people know where to go for help rather than randomly post in threads. Might also tell them on the main page if they are posting in threads where they need the attention of meh to put @ you and nathan so that they can catch your attention.

Bought this a few days ago, received today. Cannot charge. Don't know why. Need HELP!!!
@dongyan111 did u plug in the battery?
@neves710 was there a battery to plug in? I just plopped it on t he charger
@sgpigeon the battery is already in the vaccum but you have to unscrew the right side compartment and plug it in.
@sgpigeon take out the 2 screws and plug in the cable and put the cover back on. Then you should be fine.
@neves710 weird. I didn't see that in the directions. I placed it on the charger overnight and ran it this morning but it only went for like 5min and ran out of juice. I will trouble shoot it when I get home.
@sgpigeon Ours charges but it only runs for 5-10 minutes. Apparently these refurbs have old lousy batteries...
@carrerascott bah. Have you called them by chance? Surely they will send out a new battery?
@dongyan111 I did not have to plug in any batteries, but there is an On/Off switch inside the dustbin area that needs to be in the On position for it to charge.
@eblade I think some are different. The one I got does not have the on/off switch and did require plugging in the second battery. Customer service had me reset it as a new battery and that helped my charging issues.
@eblade Gotcha
@carrerascott after being on the charger for about 24 hours and selecting "new battery" in the options mine seems to be working fine. It ran for about 45 minutes last night before going back to its base.
@Kleineleh I did the same thing and the customer service of neato will send me a replacement. I hope it will solve the problem.
@dongyan111 weird, step 1 of mine showed plugging in the 2nd battery. I guess they are all different. Mine cleaned my downstairs and still had juice. So it appears to be running fine.
Mine arrived today and will not charge as well. contacted support and they are sending me another charging base. Hopefully that fixes it.
Mine charges but battery lasts 5-10 minutes tops. Did they not refurb the battery? What a waste.
MEH!!!
@bettynugs I completly agree.
Just got mine and it doesn't work, its broken. Very disappointed in how long I had to wait for a broken product, In talks with Neato but nothing about a replacement yet, frustrating.
@MRmanOFstyle just curious, what is the problem?
@nikki At first it would only move backwards and only with the right wheel so it would go around in circles backwards saying its cleaning. Now it comes off the dock and just sits there saying its cleaning and one wheel sometimes spins. Occasionally it goes straight then stops and thinks its moving. I have yet to gotten it to work. After proving it to Neato with video and my receipt, they are sending me a new one. Im not happy as when i was reasearching my problem it seems pretty common
@MRmanOFstyle oh, that's hardware issue. definitely you need a new one.
I'm loving my neato, works perfect. Much better than expected!
Can I found out why mine hasn't shipped yet?
@Bogie meh.com/support or halp@meh.com might be able to shed some light on your disappearing bot.
@stupidrobot Pretty good job yelling at us as instructed in the emails we sent! Hope the extra discount for our double screw up makes it hurt less.
@stupidrobot Dang those knuckleheads
@stupidrobot jerking jerkwads!
@stupidrobot I see you chose the "blind rage" option from your email. Well done!
Just a heads up, a new software revision came out last week. You need to register your device on MyNeato to upgrade/install. It apparently improves battery management. My Meh refurb was able to update, apparently some older revisions cant get the upgrade.
@Skitals Thanks for the heads up!
Simply, I'm very satisfied with this~! :)
Mine stopped working all of a sudden last night. Not sure if the battery is just dead, or the charging station stopped working or what. Hopefully it has a warranty and that's not much of a pain to get it replaced.
@jdl44lfhs My blue model was also in same situaiton, sometime battery issue 0004, and fan stucked error. Now It doesn't work.
@kuku Ours died, we called Neato customer service and they sent us a new model.
Just find the right number or email at http://www.neatorobotics.com/contact-us/ They are very helpful and easy to work with
@Kleineleh @kuku Mine failed on me already as well.
@Knightp even though it's out of warranty you might want to try contacting Neato to see what they say.
@Knightp Check to see if your battery connection is loose: http://neatobotvac.com/2014/03/02/batteries-error-message/
Soooo happy with Neato... > Roomba for dayz
@PeggyKaune That logic makes sense to me. Have you told that to Neato? Since they were the original warranty, that's where I would push.
Love mine! three dogs and it picks up hair great. I use it everyday and do a full vacuum once a week. So much easier them vacuuming everyday. No problems yet
Will this go up for sale again? I missed out :(
Oh meh really screwed me on this one
This thing never worked right since I had it and oh meh wanted nothing to do with it would not let me return it even with warranty
@tinner101 that doesn’t sound like the meh I know and regularly harass about defective products. How long have you given them?
