@Cerridwyn@haydesigner I heard something about eagles.
We did a lot of chillin’ in the cabin, dog park visits, and mountain running.
I also work remote full time.
This morning I was in the mountains and there was snow on the ground. Now I’m at the beach and it was md-60s when I arrived. Tomorrow I’ll be in the desert and it’ll be 80°.
@Kyeh
In San Diego you can be at the beach, the mountains, and desert all in one day.
I have been in SoCal for all of March because I didn’t want to pay the high cost of a plane ticket to go home. But costs have dropped now that spring break is over and I fly home today.
My companion is driving back as he’s going to spend a few days in Arizona and then he’ll stop by my house for a few days on his way back to his house in Wisconsin.
@ragingredd Yep. The temperature Saturday morning dropped 20 degrees during my two-hour trip from southern RI/CT to Boston and went from sunny to cloudy with light rain and some snowflakes mixed in. Forget global warming. It’s global confusion.
It’s been rainy and 60s here today but a day or two ago it was 91 and the week before was in the high 30s for the lows. There are definitely days where “if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes” feels more honest than not.
It’s definitely working in the yard weather around here. Got the vegetable garden planted, putting out a bunch of plants in the yard, new herbs in the bed, everything is blooming and setting fruit! Exciting!
@ddbelyea I traveled there for work a few times; luckily in Wintery months. I’ve semi-relocated to WNC (North Carolina) from West Coast. I like it here. But apparently this is the place people would go to to get away from Summer heat/humidity of the “lowlands”
@ddbelyea oh yeah, about Florida, an old co-worker reminded me of the time I had a rental car we think it was one of these; learned that it would rain on/in it every afternoon.Great classic car though; wish they still made things like this.
.
@macromeh I’ve always loved weather; a lot of other people don’t understand. My father had his 3 channels of TV, and a barometer he actually knew how to interpret.
@Cerridwyn Trust me, if you’ve never lived in South Florida or someplace that’s simultaneously as hot and humid as that area gets, it’s hard to comprehend just how miserable it is. By the end of May, you can step outdoors wearing just a swimsuit, stand in the shade, and have sweat dripping from your skin in ten minutes. I grew up in Miami. I escaped in 1981. I would not live there again, and I’m very reluctant to set foot in Florida at all. I am not joking when I say that I moved to Houston for its cool, dry climate.
Weathery! Very weathery.
I hate that it’s getting so warm here. Bring back the cold!
Love that is is getting so warm here, keep it up
I live just north of San Diego along the coast. It is about as close to paradise as you can get within the continental US.
/showme what the weather is like in San Diego
That’s… surprisingly fairly accurate.
@haydesigner I spent the last 16 days in Big Bear Lake and now I’m in San Diego.
@haydesigner @kittykat9180 eagle watching?
Big bear is “just” up the hill from me
@Cerridwyn @haydesigner I heard something about eagles.

@haydesigner @kittykat9180
I think that’s the right link. But there are two newly hatched baby bald eagles up in Big Bear. There were three but one didn’t make it
I am in the South, it is Hot, Cold. Rainy, thunderstorms, I would not be surprised it it snowed on day, then 65-75 the next day.

@kittykat9180 Are you on a trip, or is this all near your house?

@kittykat9180 @Kyeh it’s all “near” mine. SoCal rocks
@Cerridwyn @kittykat9180
Sounds wonderful!
High of 54 long of 25 with snow and rain. Good ol New England (northern US)

NE Ohio. It’s been worse.

“Sunny” Southern Minnesota weather rollercoaster
South Florida. So it’s hot. Pretty much all the time.

@ddbelyea I would probably buy that now for 3x the original price.
@pmarin Did you see that you’re their star reviewer for today? They quoted you and thanked you on the main page!
It’s Michigan, it can’t decide. Sunday it’s gonna be 70 then Tuesday is gonna be 40, allergies galore.
What’s the weather like? I’d say quite weather-like.
(And I don’t like it.)
@macromeh I’ve always loved weather; a lot of other people don’t understand. My father had his 3 channels of TV, and a barometer he actually knew how to interpret.
@macromeh My favorite weather picture. (Though I like storms too). You won’t get this in Florida, unless things get really weird

@macromeh @pmarin It would have to get way past weird to have that terrain in Florida, for one thing. (Max elevation 345’ ASL)
Already getting too hot again. Time to become an indoor recluse for the next seven months again.
@PooltoyWolf isn’t hot weather what the pool toys are for?

@Cerridwyn @werehatrack Basically this! Haha, beach trips are nice but even those for me are usually in spring and fall (post-October)!
@werehatrack too true, and wouldn’t be caught dead even visiting that state anymore.
I prefer to live where it is hot and dry.
Two worst I remember, one not official but… 123ish
And one where it was 90 at 7 AM, and no, not Vegas
It likes to be unpredictable…That’s what the weather here likes. (I’m out of town in Dallas this weekend).
Today? Mid to high 70’s. 40’s earlier in the week. Apparently it’s going to snow on Monday.
@mossygreen “Go home, Weather. You’re drunk!”
/showme raining cats and dogs literally
I got wet when I stepped in a poodle.
