Glad I saw this prior to having to leave this morning. I’m going to miss much of today as I will be downtown at the Capital as one of many speakers for an American Cancer Society CAN effort (although I am there as a patient from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) to get Mississippi to expand medicaid. House has voted yes late last week, Senate voting soon. Unfortunately the House bill has a work requirement (MS is the armpit of the nation) and so even it had been expanded back when I had one cancer in Jan and a second in Oct of the same year and eventually lost my job over it (major rare side effects), I still would have been caught with no insurance as I didn’t make enough for ACA care. We are hoping the Senate bill will include everyone, not just those working 20+ hours each week. Fingers crossed.
