@sammydog01 - I bought a scale similar to this (actually looks identical to this but without the “smart” functionality) when I had a cat with failing kidneys. The vet wanted to track his weight and a scale like this which does the math for you (step on and weigh yourself. Pick up the thing…cat in my case, and weigh yourself + the thing and the scale automatically subtracts the first weight to give you just the weight of the thing) was a good option.
Now, mostly, I use it for making sure my luggage is under 50 lbs when I’m flying. The only thing is that, at least with mine, the first weight measurement when you turn it on is almost always significantly higher than reality. Which throws off the second weighing (when it does the subtraction to get just the weight of the thing you’re holding). But as long as you’re aware of that, it’s a pretty easy thing to work around.
@LaVikinga My window’s operating system crashed on me this morning so I feel ya and I use my computer for work…and yeah on my phone it makes it look like the countdown keeps resetting. Not sure why either.
Wow, this is EXACTLY what I use my wife’s bathroom scale for (weighing stuff that I hold, then subtracting my weight). Not having to remember two numbers and do the calculation is worth 9$…as is not having to borrow her scale every time I want to know the weight of something in the garage…
@riceatusc it’s a shipping label error. I had 2 packages come from meh today and the 5 in my address has an extra line that makes it look like A 6. Top is still flat like a 5. Didn’t happen until they started shipping USPS instead of fedex smart post
