@Cerridwyn@Kidsandliz I don’t have to worry about that!! PTL my kitty is a Indoors cat… I have to change the litter box every other day or so! I should wear a Gas mask… as the smell can almost knock you out.
@heartny The beach is definitely at the top of the list. I had a Doberman who loved the beach. As a bonus, her short coat made it easy to brush off the sand and she dried quickly. We had many hours of fun at the beach exploring, swimming and tossing the frisbee. I really miss that dog.
When I was about 12 our neighbors had a nice dog and they let me take her on long walks in the foothills - it was nice because I felt safe and the dog enjoyed it.
@Kidsandliz You caught me with another Fat finger typeo. You had guessed that I meant Cat! But I do have several MatchBox & Hot Wheels around. I even got a couple Tesla’s sitting on a shelf!
@Kidsandliz Bill Irwin walks with this dog, Orient, as they end their 2,100-mile journey along the Appalachian Trail in Maine in 1990. 1990, he became the first blind man to traverse the Appalachian Trail.
Also back in the late 1990’s He joined a group I was in to go tour Israel, He had been dating, So he got Married over there (the 1st day) on the Mount of Olives! By then he had a different dog.
I think that once it was time to resupply someone would meet him & help lead him to cache of supplies. Of course it took several years to do the entire thing. Rarely does a Sighted person do the whole trail in the same year.
love your pets, but they are pets, even if you want to call them fur babies
when I moved up to the Central Coast, I was shocked and amazed at the dogs everywhere. While ‘most’ of them were well behaved, it wasn’t all of them, and i don’t feel I should have to eat with dog hair going everywhere.
Finally, the County knuckled down and forced even open air places where food is bought or sold to post and adhere to public health rules. Half the county was up in arms and the other half was relieved,
I see the signs everywhere now that I am back in So Cal. And I for one am glad of it.
PS
And if you can take your dog, I’m bringing my cat, aardvark, lizard, snake, or bird. Allow one, allow them all.
@Cerridwyn@Kyeh@transplant And clean. I hate when they not only try to pull the bs of it being a service dog but when they are not clean it is really infuriating that they think I want to share restaurant space with them.
Also, if you don’t want your dog’s poop in your yard what the heck makes you think I want it in my yard?
Following my usual pattern, what’s a dog. In other words I don’t have one
@Cerridwyn I do believe they are a ball of fur that loves to drool!
@Cerridwyn @mycya4me And jump on people, lick them, and require you to carry bags because they dump crap in people’s yards.

@shahnm That was much more interesting than I expected.
I don’t have a dog, but if I did I would take it to the beach.
@heartny sounds like a plan, but do you have ANY pets, or should I say do any critter own you!

Shopping!!! TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods and Nordstroms all allow doggos and Charliedoggo loves walking around and getting attention
Taking the dog on a hike
@lonocat yep I Love it!
Null set. No dog.

To pick out a cat
/image cats rule!
@katbyter I love it, mine rules the house!
@katbyter Good on you for giving your dog the traditional raw diet!
/giphy I kid
Nowhere, I don’t have a dog at this time. I now have a car & he follows me around the house.
@mycya4me you have a car in the house??? (snicker). My cats follow me around the apartment as well.
@mycya4me Does he plug himself in to charge, or do you have to change his batteries?
@Kidsandliz You caught me with another Fat finger typeo. You had guessed that I meant Cat! But I do have several MatchBox & Hot Wheels around. I even got a couple Tesla’s sitting on a shelf!
To the Ocelot store.

I knew A guy that walked the entire Appalachian Trail with his dog, The dog was the only one that had vision, he was blind!
@mycya4me That is pretty amazing since you have to leave the trail to get groceries and stuff like that.

Look him up!
Not a dog owner, so please explain to me why (some) dog owners think it’s ok to take their dog everywhere?
I had a friend show up for a weekend stay at my vacation house with their dog. Didn’t tell me, just showed up. My cats and I were not amused.
I now tell everyone that they can’t bring their pets, even if they don’t have any. (Covering my bases!)
@transplant I hear you

@Cerridwyn @transplant My sister’s one of those who sneaks her dog in everywhere she can - at least it’s very tiny and extremely well-behaved.
