Listen up you guys..this is a monster of a deal..active noise cancellation ..isn't that the point to hear NOISE so canceling it well sounds like a bad idea...
Although ... '70s era Russian tank commanders had microphones that didn't pick up vibrating air from their mouth. There was a strap that went around their neck with a censor on each side of the larynx that collected the vibrations straight from the vocal cords. Didn't work worth a damn.
@saodell why is water called water until you freeze it and then it is now called ice? I think naming things different names than what we think they should be named is just a plot to confuse us and make us blindly order things like the GoGroove Move L3D Mood light..
“People give them many different names. But in themselves, they have no names. When you are thinking, all things have different names and different shapes. But when you are not thinking, all things are the same. There are no words for them. People make the words. A cat doesn’t say, ‘I am a cat.’ People say, ‘This is a cat.’ The sun doesn’t say, ‘My name is sun.’ People say, ‘This is the sun.’
So when someone asks you, ‘What is this?’, how should you answer?”
“I shouldn’t use words.”
Soen-sa said, “Very good! You shouldn’t use words. So if someone asks you, ‘What is Buddha?’, what would be a good answer?”
Gita was silent.
Soen-sa said, “Now you ask me.”
“What is Buddha?”
Soen-sa hit the floor.
Gita laughed.
Soen-sa said, “Now I ask you: What is Buddha?”
Gita hit the floor.
“What is God?”
Gita hit the floor.
“What is your mother?”
Gita hit the floor.
“What are you?”
Gita hit the floor.
“Very good! This is what all things in the world are made of. You and Buddha and God and your mother and the whole world are the same.”
Gita smiled.
Soen-sa said, “Do you have any more questions?”
“You still haven’t told me where Katz went.”
Soen-sa leaned over, looked into her eyes, and said, “You already understand.”
Gita said, “Oh!” and hit the floor very hard. Then she laughed.
As she was opening the door, she turned to Soen-sa and said, “But I’m not going to answer that way when I’m in school. I’m going to give regular answers!” Soen-sa laughed.
@RedOak Was looking for a movie to rent for the kids, and was scanning reviews to make sure it was age appropriate. Kept finding 1-2 star ratings with "loved it!" write-ups, and 5-star ratings that said "so-so."
I've always been a fan of Monster headphones (not their bastardized Beats headphones designed for Dre). I love my iSport Immersion. I like Inspiration as well, but it's definitely of limited use due to its bulky design. After all, ANC 'phones are good for usually one thing: traveling. The rectangular design is good for my comically big ears, but those with smaller ears might find this too cumbersome for long periods of use.
With that said, this is a definite step up from the cheapo Able Planet and Mee ANCs. The bass is much tighter than Beats ANCs and the highs more controlled with defined mids. It's slightly superior to Soul ANCs because of its cleaner sound profile and airy sound stage. The problem with it, though, is that I simply have no use for it at home because my comparably-priced ATH-M50X and Sennheiser HD555 (regular price) are both vastly superior.
However, if you don't have a good pair of headphones and aren't prepared to spend $150+ on them, this is a fine purchase. Good offer by Meh.
I already got em in titanium black. Once the batteries are added and the noise cancelling is on these things will block out most white noise but not anyone directly trying to get your attention. Plus it brings up the muddy lows and highs giving a clear sound. So while not truly noise cancelling they're more of a poor man's studio monitor. I say get em if you wanna have an audiophile experience without blowing 600+
@elimanningface nope. they are ridiculous. i have grados for pleasure listening and the able planets for work video conferences. no room for these in my life.
Has anyone else tried to register these on the Monster website? They have only the space grey and titanium models as options to register, which are not the exact model these are (128888-00) for the silver ones.
Their registration page then says "beware, this serial number is not valid" and warns they may be fake or counterfeit. It proceeds to tell me to contact monster customer service for further assistance.
Any thoughts or experiences? Headphones definitely are new and seem legit, but who knows?
@robson I replied to your email this morning. Most likely it gave you that because you didn't have the correct model number selected. Either way we're looking into it. :)
@hollboll I recently called Monster CS to onor the warranty. they said the would need the receipt from where you purchased it in order to begin the warranty proccess. The Headphones worked great but all the sudden the right headphone has no sound coming from it. tried to change the cords, batteries and i tried switching the devices to see if that would fix it and nothing.
@tgarrett1992 I called Monster CS about a speaker the week before last- they know A Mediocre Corporation but not Meh. At least the guy I spoke to did. I forwarded them the order email from Meh and had a return authorization in an hour. I can give you his name if you have a problem.

Cannot believe the GoGroove Move L3D Mood Light Speaker didn't sell out.
@saodell we just weren't in the mood!
@saodell They probably bought enough to do more sales of it. Its the Meh way.
@saodell the crystal ball says those will appear in a future fuku
@saodell If they only worked like mood rings...
@dayne maybe we lost our groove..wait we never bought it so we couldn't have had It in the first place!
Listen up you guys..this is a monster of a deal..active noise cancellation ..isn't that the point to hear NOISE so canceling it well sounds like a bad idea...
Why are they called head phones? What other part of the body can you listen with?
Although ... '70s era Russian tank commanders had microphones that didn't pick up vibrating air from their mouth. There was a strap that went around their neck with a censor on each side of the larynx that collected the vibrations straight from the vocal cords. Didn't work worth a damn.
@saodell I guess you got a head start on me..
@saodell reckon their speech was censored?
WHAT?
Why is the thing you hear with a head phone, but the part you talk into isn't a mouth phone?
@saodell why is water called water until you freeze it and then it is now called ice? I think naming things different names than what we think they should be named is just a plot to confuse us and make us blindly order things like the GoGroove Move L3D Mood light..

@saodell The brain is the only thing that named itself.
Obviously Meh is thinking about hiring Shimahiro, N to write some of Irk's stuff....
@eeterrific Irk seems like he would not enjoy overly long reviews.
Will these fit on my giant melon? The adjustments look terrible.
@Jetlag They're head phones.
GET OVER EAR!

@lichme "wax" did you say???
can you replace these with coat hangers?
What if I actually listen to recordings of noise? Can I set it to cancel harmonious pleasant sounds instead?
@awk ^YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....!
Not worth more than $20.
What did you say? I can't hear you, got my noise cancelling headphones on.....
@Stallion Does this help:
Is the headband adjustable (does it expand)?
@joeyryan5 yes
Spoon is all you need.
I dunno. $64 seems like a lot for a pitch based on quality from a site called meh.com that also sold me Cool Gear crap.
Then again, I'm still here, typing this.
@njd it's the @jont vacation tax, prices should be back to incredible next week.
"1x Anti-Microbial Cleaning Cloth"
Isn't it a fair idea to refrain from loaning out devices that are intimate with one's noggin, thus negating the need for that accessory?
Those are shockingly positive Amazon reviews. Almost impossibly so. Only two 1-stars in 137 total reviews?
Of course there is the obligatory:

@RedOak Was looking for a movie to rent for the kids, and was scanning reviews to make sure it was age appropriate. Kept finding 1-2 star ratings with "loved it!" write-ups, and 5-star ratings that said "so-so."
What no blue... no sale
@jml326 I don't know.. U miss this deal u will be "blue".. Well "meh" be not!

Happy with the 808s but ty anyway Meh .

Am I the only one who thinks these are horrible looking?
@elimanningface nope. they are ridiculous. i have grados for pleasure listening and the able planets for work video conferences. no room for these in my life.
