Model Number Origins

So @skemmehs posted the entire series of Apocalypse Soon-ish (thanks!). @Dave, do you have the model number essay available in one chunk? I missed pieces, and honestly, I’m too lazy to go click back through the deals to read it all. I’d like to read it if it were easy to do so.

Sure, let me hack something together and I’ll post it tonight. I will say, it’s not thoroughly researched or edited, so I’m totally up for hearing counterpoints, things I missed, or obvious mistakes.
