9Ah, it is Thursday! One more day to the weekend!
Today is National Handshake Day. Shake the hand of at least one person that you would not have on any other day. You may just want to wish them a good day while doing so. It’s also a day to perfect your handshake. A grip that’s too firm may come off as aggressive, and one too weak may seem insincere. What impression are you trying to make? And on who?

I didn’t know it was National Handshake Day when, about 45 minute ago, I shook the hand of a guy named Chris. Chris had strong feelings about the pizza place I had just been to, and felt that if they let him do a “pecan pie pop-up” there, it would improve their business quite a lot.
I don’t like pecan pie. But I shook his hand anyway.
No hugs then…
@mfladd haha. I have basically used that move before when meeting creepy blind dates.

@mfladd @RiotDemon the guy that stands out in my mind was so ODD. He was a country boy, so maybe he was just friendly (?) .
I remember he tried hugging me, had his arm around me the whole night. He had a can of chew in his back pocket
We went to dinner and a comedy show and he was not socially acceptable at the restaurant to the point of embarrassment (I don’t remember what he did) and said “get er done” about 200 times. I was clearly not enjoying myself but he still tried to make out at the end of the night.
When I asked my GF WTH she was like, well you were both single so I thought why not, lets try.
