Meh needs to accept toilet paper…apparently

JonT posted some pics said Tue, Aug 4th 2015 at 3:01pm ET

Ever since we mentioned one little stat about toilet paper in our Year One Stats our lovely community has been quite…generous.

But it hasn't stopped there…

I don't know why I'm surprised that there are so many different varieties of custom toilet paper.

There was even some "wedding print" TP

Thanks @tHumperchick & @connorbush (and whoever else sent this stuff in without telling us who you are)!

We are now much more well stocked.

Next year I'm going to make sure we included a stat about how many dollars I've spent and hope the same thing happens. So please definitely DON'T send any cold, hard cash to me (and don't don't forget to mark it ATTN: JonT).

Thanks for the TP, weirdos! Maybe we should make a covert run over to Woot HQ…

I did have some help... @Pavlov suggested tagging a staffer that we thought used more than their fair share... @Thumperchick was one of the first to reply and help me out @marklog helped pick out a lot of the Amazon order, and I thank everyone that has and continues to help the experiment. :)

- @sohmageek can't give you a detailed breakdown but I can confidently say we've received over a dozen different shipments containing toilet paper. I would guess that I'm the "winner" with most of them addressed to me, but a lot were also just generally addressed to Meh/Mediocre as a whole.

- @Thumperchick Now that could be interesting. A prank war. Back years ago when I used to work on tall ships we were in NYC for the 4th of July stuff. A certain, shall remain nameless, US Navy training vessel decided to sneak over in the dead of night to tie some long, skinny balloons and some round ones in the appropriate appendage spot on our figurehead (a lion if I recall - this was a while ago) on the bow of the boat (was the Bounty - the replica tall ship that sank in Hurricane Sandy). The brig Niagara was implicated seeing as they were docked in front of us and the easiest way to get on our bowsprit to do the dastardly deed and not get caught being on our boat was via their main boom... As our captain was a bit laid back about things, we didn't get up until around 11am after "festivities" the night before (no swabbing the deck at 6:30am for him/us LOL) and so this was on display for a number of hours before we noticed. That was the start of a long weekend of pranks at that dock. I'd suspect some of the tourists were not amused at, um, maritime humor.

  yeah, I sent a ''rescue" 9 pack to friends in Roanoke during the height of the TP insanity (think ‘TPdrop’). We always get ours from Sam’s in 45 roll cases and had picked up a case a month before all the craziness so were in good shape – in fact, we are just now still finishing up that case. They had a bunch of college kids at the house for a time and couldn’t find any for love or money.
