Mediocre Mailbag (August)
12I'm a bit late in posting some of these but we got some mail from you guys and want to share.
Up first: is @KDemo (Full album: http://imgur.com/a/wT4gi)
^ That chai exploded. Literally. Chai powder everywhere.
Thanks @KDemo!
Next: We actually have no idea who this is from (Full album: http://imgur.com/a/7gnYO) If this is you, let us know so we can give you credit! :)
Then: We also have no idea its from, but we think it's related to this post
@Moose was very excited. If you pull the car back it shoots forward. He says it is "bitchin'!"
Last but not least: @Noddy93, who tricked us by using this package:
The claw things in that package are for holding things (like wings) so your fingers don't get dirty when eating them.
And This NSFW sticker that @jont stuck on my cube.

@hollboll What is that Space Ghost one in the lower right corner??!! Space Ghost friggin rules.
@Bingo
@JonT Right? And mostly I just wanna know what it says. It looks kewl. Yeah that's right. I'm goin early 2000s internet leet speak and saying kewl.
@Bingo if I remember correctly it says "It's dark in space."
@Noddy93 is correct!
@Noddy93 @hollboll That's awesome. Gotta love Space Ghost
Thanks everybody! Especially @Noddy93 for the Axe that I sprayed in @hollboll's cube…it was not appreciated.
@JonT I aim to please.
@JonT
@JonT So finally the Axe comes down at Meh, huh?
I crack myself up. Anyway, I hope the sea monkeys survived.
@JonT I starred this just so I could un-star it.
@hollboll I'm sure you
havecould acquire from an elderly female relative or friend a delightfully smothering perfume that @JonT would appreciate not appreciating.@joelmw anything but White Diamonds please.
Sounds like a request to me, @hollboll. Although maybe he secretly gets off on it. We may never know, because when you try it (and you must), he's likely to feign disgust.
@joelmw On it.
@hollboll - I got some pretty um . . . distinctive perfume at the dollar store once. I read it was supposed to discourage raccoons from nesting under my house.
@joelmw @hollboll try Odor of Skunk... that is probably just revenge.
Wait, if the sticker is now on your cube...at work...doesn't that make it work appropriate now?
@Nikodemus I would highly recommend against using our office as a model for what is typically 'SFW'.
So sorry about the chai and it looks like the hot tamales didn't fare so well,either. That box was tightly packed! Guess I now know what your packing department is up against - just worried about the tables turning on my next order ;-)
The packing horror in no way diminishes my wishes for your Happy Birthday.
@KDemo <3
That woobie must be amazing- @MEHcus has nearly cracked a smile there- certainly closer than in any other picture.
Ha. I bought me a huge pack of those Obama stickers too. I'm sure I've still got a few somewhere.
@joelmw - I have one - also somewhere.
I sent the box with the woobie, the bacon, the Burger King LOTR set and assorted other dust collectors.
We use that bacon and it has been great. Its already cooked; a few seconds in the microwave on paper towel will do but expect to get greasy unpacking and separating it.
The Creative Computing clock was a premium for renewing lo those many decades ago. The Macintosh luggage tag came from the CES show in Las Vegas that Apple brought its first Macs to. The 'digital' keyring probably came from Comdex Las Vegas in the late '80s. You may consider yourself fortunate to not be inundated with '80s computer show booth fluff! Didn't have room in the box ;)
Enjoy, and Happy Birthday Meh! Next year I'll try to be more eclectic if my wife hasn't made me de-packrat my storage by then!
@duodec There's always the option for a holiday box!
@duodec Wow, Creative Computing. That was the first of many pretty eccentric computer magazines. I think a bunch of issues are available on archive.org now... maybe I should go read up on the beauty of octal.
@duodec Awesome! Thanks for making our afternoon. :)
@hollboll Fair trade for a year of interesting entertainment ;)
@editorkid Yeah, I didn't start at the beginning of Creative Computing, or Byte, but back then the sheer variety of systems was amazing and fun.
@moose the Lambo was from me. I told them to put a little note in it and signed "conan" on it, but perhaps they forgot to do it.
@conandlibrarian the Goatse was from me.
@conandlibrarian Aww shucks, yeah there was no note to be found, but the lambo sits proudly on the wall of my cubicle now!
what did I miss? is this like some sort of reverse fuku bag?
@jareza Birthday presents to Meh.
I'm -still- working on mine. I have to find a bigger box, because the large flat rate one is too small. :/
